From what he was describing, I could tell it wasn't his appendix straight off. But I'm not a doctor and with something like that, it's better safe than sorry. I suggested it might be kidney stones, and then when we got to the hospital, this was echoed. So hopefully it will resolve itself and all will be well.

So what are the usual prices of these Maui Jim glasses. I'm a whore for high priced glasses, but I keep them for years. After they get their first scratch I order a new pair, but that only happens maybe once every three or four years.

I'm glad to hear they didn't find anything serious. Kidney stones are a bitch from what I hear, but they aren't terminal. All in all kidney stones would be good news compared to other things.

i've always bought the same pair, and they are $180. they used to be $170. farking inflation Annoyed

My Maui Jims were on sale at some point - lots of sporting goods stores like Dick's and Gander Mountain sell them - I think I got that pair for around $80 which is just about as much as I ever let myself spend on sunglasses. But I'm not sure. Search HD for 'maui jim' and see what's out there maybe?

EEK! Yeah but the glasses I get for $180 at oakley.com are usually discounted 50 or 60 percent on 6pm.com or oakleyvault.com. Do Maui Jims not go on sales like that?

i can't say if they do or not, i've never actively looked for them on sale. but i will say this: their customer service is the best on the farking planet. you can send your glasses back to them and they'll fix damn near ANYTHING for free. it just costs $10 shipping for them to send 'em back to you fixed. Cool2

I would just buy a cheapy remote for the dongle, but my stupid Slim only has 2 USB ports on the front, and I haven't gotten my fatty fixed.

What's so special about the Harmony? I got one of their cheaper ones once, and there was a little LCD on it. It was such a pain in the ass having to scroll through the menus and get to what I wanted on a tiny remote. Do they work for roku and everything else.....other than ps3 obviously.

My fatboy is still running, but I only play maybe 40 hours of games a year. After 30 minutes it sounds like a plane about to take off. I imagine the disk reader is about to go out. I want to get AC3 and the new God of War when it comes out, but I'm afraid it might cost me since I'll likely need a new system if the disk drive dives.
