WTF are you getting on it that necessitates rubbing alcohol?

Or do I even want to know?
IDK, it disinfects, and it's cheaper than any other disinfecting alternative, so I use that.

Very cool, thank you! That's easy enough to drink IMO. When I was sick a while ago I tried apple cider vinegar and it was HORRIBLE. Yuk
Yeah, that stuff is gross. Just the smell of it is putrid. laugh out loud

Pickle juice sounds equally disgusting. But then again, I don't like pickles.

Facepalm

Why do you need to disinfect it? Do you do that to your keys, too? Your cell phone? The steering wheel? Your shoes? The other thousands of things you touch throughout the day?

Yeah, that's probably easier. Tongue

You can try all the "tricks" people have if you want. I wouldn't. Your body will do its thing without any help from all the voodoo people fabricate. laugh out loud

DH would think that was just so damn helpful too.....Captain Crap Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Yeah, I don't know too much about body flushes and some things I have read are totally bizzare.

Indeed! Keep in mind, there will be all kinds of people standing in line to sell you snake oil. So-and-so claims this works, and so-and-so claims this other thing works.

Good point. And clearly, he missed my point entirely...

Oh yeah, I can't even imagine. I had to use it in laundry a couple times when the cat I have now had "issues" as a kitten, and I had to hold the bottle at arm's length and hold my breath just to put a couple tablespoons into the wash. laugh out loud

I cannot even IMAGINE getting it close enough to my mouth to drink it. LMAO

No thanks! Nono2

Seriously, if you just do basic cleaning with regular household products (you DON'T need harsh, residual chemicals or all the expensive crap they'll try to sell you all the time) and wash your hands regularly with any kind of soap (preferably one without all the harsh chemicals), you'll be fine.

I swear, the marketing from the last few decades is freakin' genius. It has everyone scared to death and they keep buying "antibacterial" products by the millions because some commercial convinced them it's "better."

Last time I checked, plain old soap was anti-bacterial.

EXACTLY! THANK YOU!

Which is why there's no point in buying soap with shit like triclosan and other "antibacterial" junk in it!

Bacteria simply can't suvive in the pH range of soaps and detergents. But that's just not good enough. I even had a dermatologist recommend a triclosan soap one time. I said yes, then simply ignored his suggestion.

Well not only that, the soap will help to break apart the cell membrane, lysing open the cells. (Which results in cell death.) That combined with warm water, and plenty of scrubbing, all more than effective enough at cleansing your hands. No residual, harsh chemicals required.
