Things will get better with time. Just work with her with the crate (and have your mom do the same), leaving it in the busy room in the house with the door open so she can freely go in & out and she'll get more comfortable with it. Smilie
Just want to second all of Kristin's points. I forgot about having her go in when you're there and praising her. Had to do that with one of the mutts because he would chew up the entire house if left uncrated. He hated the crate at first. The door of it scared the crap out of him.
But yeah, good advice straight from the bunny's butt.

LW was the immaculate trainception. The dog was 6 months old and perfectly a lady when we first met, and stayed that way for 12 years Cloud9 I remember the first time our eyes met at the pound like it was yesterday- I was walking by and I kinda noticed her- then I looked back and our eyes locked. Then I walked her and she pranced on the leash. She never had any accidents or destroyed any personal property. She just wanted to snuggle and hang out and go for rides and walks.
