Or, if you're dumb like we were in college, you go ahead and spike the watermelon, then freeze it & use the chunks as ice in a concoction we called "Date Rape Punch" which was a trash bag in a 50-gallon can filled with about 35 gallons of whatever hard alcohol we could find + several boxes of cheap red wine, and something fizzy like ginger ale or seltzer water.
I'm actually quite surprised some of my friends survived my parties.
