Then it's on to the marshmallows
It's a blue tick beagle.
So this chick said something at my meeting tonight that's on my head. She goes "I have a big problem when I'm dating when a guy asks me why I don't drink - I always say it's my heart or some medication..." She said she doesn't bring it up "for a while" when she's seeing a guy??!!!
Is that a turnoff? Being sober I mean. If I say "I'm a sober alcoholic" does that set off alarms? I'm genuinely curious here. Because that's something I've mentioned in any personal ad I've placed and it was in my OKCupid profile too...
To my mind it's the most important thing I could tell anyone. It's why I want to meet for coffee or activities instead of going for drinks or to a club. And if I concealed it "for a while" and told you later, wouldn't you be mad?
Is it scary to know I haven't had a drink in almost 6 years?
awww...so cute

When I was in active addiction, I'd automatically blow off non drinkers, guys in recovery, or pretty much social drinkers. And if they had any common sense, they'd have split anyway- unless they were a glutton for punishment?
If a person isn't going to want to be with you for who you really are, would you want to be with them? Acceptance! I'm not embarrassed who I am. I'm proud of the steps I've taken (
i even have one of those fancy mandolines for sole purpose to make the waffley fries and still haven't done it

with men, i don't know if there is suchnegativity as being a sober alcoholic. women generally are more forgiving/understanding of such matters, imHo

I wish I could just browse a catalog, add a girl to my cart and go check out. Dating is hard.
