Egg Man goes hunting with Elliot Sadler a lot. He said he's going to see if I can go with them up to Elliot's new hunting lodge one day. That would be awesome.

I've never been deer hunting, but I'm looking forward to it whenever I get to go. I'm really hoping that a few years from now the orchard I want to put in will bring them in to a place on my property where I can actually shoot them. It's too dangerous to shoot the ones in the front yard. It's perfectly legal, but I don't want a slug going across the street and hitting someone's house or a kid or something.

I lived in TN for the better half of my life, and I enjoyed it, but when I moved West I lost my Southern Accent and all ideals changed, I miss the slow paced life.

We can't use rifles to hunt in most counties around here. We have to use a shotgun which means we have to be much closer. I'd like to get a 30-30 or a 30-06, but if I'm really desperate for food I've got my AR.
I've set up a trap for some feral cats that have been roaming my property. DS1 found 5 dead bunnies near the back of the compound, and those cats have been getting quite confident lately. If things get worst case scenario bad, I'm going to need those bunnies.....not to mention they taste good. I can't have a couple of wild cats destroying the bunny population here.

No. I've never actually shot, killed, and ate a wild rabbit, and I won't be for a while thanks to those cats.

I tried the air gun a few nights ago on one of the cats just to scare it away. Nuisance animals are different than eating animals or pets. I don't want to kill them if I don't have to, but I will if they don't take the hint when they get hit by a BB or something non-lethal.
