Chewy, that's simply a one-line edit. The "-" line is what's already there and needs to come out. The "+" line is the new code that needs to go in. In short, edit the line to replace the variable hostname with the literal string value "myhost".
Do you know what I need to edit as far as a config file or an exe file? This is for xchat.
I don't intend to do any chatting . . . . only lurking.
I certainly appreciate the help. I'm wondering if there's a list of profiles for each connection. There's probably either that or some master level file each connection reads from. I'll snoop around.
it's my new boss and the three of us subordinates. my old boss is an optional attendee, so i'm guessing he won't be in there. my old boss has offered to buy us all lunch to celebrate, since we recently got through our yearly audit with no exceptions (that's a very good thing). he sent an email to all of us just now asking what we'd like to eat for lunch.

I'm already over today. My train was 5 minutes late for no reason at all, which made me miss my other train, so I had to wait 15 minutes because WMATA is the worst public transit agency in the history of the world. Seriously, 15 minutes between trains for the morning rush? WTF?
My boss doesn't give a shit about anything and a co-worker has mentally checked out (I think he's found himself another job, honestly) so the colleague is outright refusing work and not pitching in to help... and we have three guys (out of maybe 9 total) out on multi-week vacations. SO other guys who are normally around to cover emergencies or jump in when I'm overscheduled are covering vacations and I'm working 12+ hour days.
Our salary reviews are next month, I'm asking for a raise already. I've been here 4 months.

Being as it appears to be a .c file, I'm presuming you'll need to compile the source after you make that change.
So how do i decompile it to change the code? Would this be the .exe file that needs to be edited?
