I've kinda stopped going to Blimpie, it just kept sliding downhill after the new owners took it over... it was good while they actually still worked there. But they seem to have switched to the cheapest Ragu on the shelf for their meatball sub (I saw one of them walking in with a grocery store bag with that in it). And how the fark do you run out of salami at Blimpie when it's on your self-named sandwich?!?

Awwww I went to my niece's Christmas concert last night. It was so sweet. I'm not sure if she liked my Punk after she sang but I'm her biggest fan Cloud9

WTF? So I work the potluck every year so that I don't have to pay. If you don't work and don't bring a dish you have to pay $10 if you want to eat. This pays for all of the side dishes they go pick up the day of the potluck. I just found out last night they I wasn't needed today and didn't have any time or ingredients to prepare anything. Guess who doesn't get to eat with everyone else at the Christmas party today because the cutoff to pay was last week. I really farking hate this place some times.

Why didn't you just bring a side dish? Go buy a cheap side dish at Costco and then join the potluck. That;s what I do sometimes.

If I'm going to spend 10 bucks on lunch, it's going to be at a restaurant. And the more I think about it, the more I have a problem paying for Christmas party lunch at my place of employment when I work for a billion dollar a month company who gave their executives fat raises this year and cut the "merit increases" (cost of living increases) to 2% across the board for everyone else after taking their bonuses away.

I can always search for another job. This is a big motivator for me to finish studying and get my certification. I'm all for capitalism and choice. Being in favor of something doesn't mean you have to like it 100%. Capitalism isn't perfect, but it's better than the alternatives.
