This can't be a serious question.
If you look at the body count, it hasn't gotten better. Most of the ones prior to 1980 were single fatalities or suicides. The body counts are getting higher. And I'm not referring strictly to school shootings in my statement. I just mean the general mental health of the nation. There have more and more acts of senseless violence, or at least it seems that way. I do agree with your point that we have mass media now to spread things faster.
