This one has an Atom processor at 1.6 GHz and Windows 7. I'd wipe it clean except for the OS and send it to ya.

It's really not as tough as it used to be. A buddy of mine has been out of computing for 25+ years, and he's hard up for cash these days and mostly gets people's old computers for free, but didn't want to pirate Windows and had no money licenses, so I turned him onto Linux and it's blown his mind laugh out loud
Yeah I played with it many years ago and use some Unix for my current job. I'm sure I could pick it up quite easily, but I don't think I want to struggle with two learning curves at the same time.

So my 'vacation' has been downgraded from getting some sun and bonding with the girls to just trying to not say or do anything I will have to make an amends for later... I'm leaving in 9 days.

I wonder where JME has gone off to?
That's what any visit with my MIL is like. Comfort

If it's a well-supported chipset, you probably don't even need to touch a command line these days. Unless you want to.

No kidding? The last time I messed with it there wasn't a GUI that I recall.

I'm by the bay, not oceanfront Roll every time we go to the beach the girls cry they are cold and we leave. It's like a tease! Roll

Mom says it sounds like sister is taking hormones for her breasts- not herbs- which makes sense.

Wiles: avoid the amends! LMAO Some days that's the best I can do. I can't tell you how many times I've stared at somebody & thought "if I knew my sponsor would cosign this one I'd totally ____ right now!" But I know he'd make me go back and make the amends. Mad

Hang in there. Pray for them. laugh out loud (hate that answer too!)

Amen, brother!

Last night we were talking and she snapped and started calling me judgmental and the like- I was WHOA - this was just a conversation. If I WANTED to be judgemental, I could have nailed her to the wall- but of course I resisted and just ended the conversation.

What gets me is she criticized my drinking when I drank. Now I don't and she criticizes my past or the fact I have a program in my life. 'Dont you people try to figure out your lives in those meetings???'. Um yeah. Like to be honest? Like to not beat myself up and be a people pleaser to unreasonable people like you? *

Honestly, I think some of the greatest and most beneficial teachings of "the program" are to acknowledge and apologize for your past shortcomings, then move on and live in the moment. You cannot change your past behavior, but you can certainly behave better in the present. There's no benefit in getting stuck in the past, nor is there any benefit in worrying endlessly about the future.

I had a few people from my past try to beat me up with it AFTER I'd made my amends and told them I'm living differently now. At some point I typically trot out the line, "I'm as sorry as I can be," and leave it at that. Surprisingly it doesn't always go over well! LMAO

She and I have been so far apart for so long - I just now realized that she's 35, I'm 40- we are far from the kids that grew up together. We don't know each other very well and me thinking we could connect and have this great sweet holiday was an unrealistic expectation.

On home news, mom has my dog and says she's a witch Roll
Sassy stole a piece of pound cake from her plate today EEK!
So I guess sassy is officially mine now Flex
