The lounge really has gone downhill.

What is with the new people constantly going into threads and cutting people down? Why are we putting down other's screennames? why are we so goshdarn rude? This site has gotten out of control and mods really need to take control of the rudeness of it. This site used to be such a nice place to hang out. Now you have to stand up for yourself in every thread you make because the asshats come along and either hijack the thread or will start being, well, asshats. And people wonder why we start going to other forums?

I really don't like that adage because it teaches kids to refrain from speaking their mind. I feel that you should speak your mind as long as you aren't lashing out at people, unwarranted.

its not only the new people that put others down...might i direct you to how the oldies treat the new people who come on here and really have something to ask or say. not to mention the cliques that do the rounds in the lounge. yes they DO exist.

Some people don't have social skills, and the only way they can say what they want is by being rude. Sometimes rude is the ONLY way to get your point across strong. Sometimes rude will snap the user back to reality. So I don't agree that rude is always a bad thing.
