..I think it's time to dump her. Should we get divorced?

She went out last Saturday night with some guy, stayed out until 1 am. Then on Tuesday, she's out again until 1 am, says they went to eat and then a movie!!?! Last night, 1:30. It's getting later, I guess it's time to dump her! Sadwalk

What would you do?

Well according to Ms. Sally, they would beat the crap out of her.

Regardless, those people are morons. It doesn't matter.

Stealth, I am so sorry that she's doing this to you. hug I hope things go well and that you can easily move on from this, I really do. hug

I've been following this thread even through all the shenanigans a couple pages back. I have to say that I think you're handling it all pretty well. The thing to remember is that this isn't a reflection on you per se--as Drio said, you can't tie her down or lock her in the basement. She's going to do what she's going to do, and at this point I think all you can do is protect yourself and your future. You don't seem to be letting it get you down, which is good--if it starts to get to you, remember that she's the one making this choice, and it has nothing to do with your own value either as a husband or as a person.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

If it were me ... I'd empty out the bank accounts, box up all the goodies I wanted to keep, find a new place to live, grab the kids, and go. I probably wouldn't even say goodbye, and I certainly wouldn't leave a forwarding address. I'd hire an attorney and let him handle the division of property. Start a new life and don't look back -- make a clean, fast break.

Do you own the house you're living in? If not ... before I left, I might be tempted to flush a few goodies down the toilet to make sure it was solidly plugged. (When they were toddlers, my kids flushed perfume bottles down two of our toilets, and it took us a lot of time and $$$ to finally figure out the problem. We could have plunged those toilets for years and never broken through!) I'd also boil a few eggs, then heave them down the heater vents. In a few months, that house is going to smell real bad! I might even buy a few pair of mice and let them loose around the house -- they procreate real fast! Maybe she'd enjoy entertaining her new friend at home instead of having to sneak out at night --- but then again, maybe not, especially after she notices her mattress smells very strongly of urine.

Hell hath no fury like a woman (or man) scorned!

Seriously ... ask your attorney what your legal options and obligations are, then try to salvage what you can. Most importantly, remove yourself from this situation and get into a better living arrangement as soon as possible. Concentrate on raising your kids and providing a happy, secure environment for them, and in doing so, you'll do the same for yourself.
