Puppy!

We picked this little guy up from a rescue on sunday. He's a lab mix. We're not quite sure of his breed. This is my first dog... Maggie's had many.
He's a happy little camper... unless we leave him alone. We are crate training him. He's not very fond of that at all. He'll grow out of it though. He came from a litter of 5, so up til sunday night, he had never spent a moment alone in his short life. It's kinda cool that we can go outside and he just follows us.
Anyhow, he needs a name, and we're still undecided.
I kinda like "Champ". We live right by Lake Champlain, which has it's own version of the Locke Ness monster called "Champ". Maybe Oscar. Maybe Joey. (Cats - Chloe+Zoe)
While I'm being a postwhore... why stop here? I had a fun weekend at Lake George NY... rented a pontoon boat and explored the lake. My MIL is looking to buy a pontoon boat so we thought we'd test drive one. (if anyone has advise on brands or anything.. I'm all ears since she's kinda put me on research)
Yesterday, I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled, and also 4 biopsies on these little white spots on my cheeks. I chew my cheeks a lot so they're pretty sure it's just scar tissue, but yea, my mouth is a bit of a mess right now. God bless good painkillers. Weeeeeeeee!

The way he looks in this picture reminds me of a stage my dog went through when he was growing up. His ears got all funky and I always said he looked kind of like he was going through an awkward puberty phase.
He's so unique looking!!! I love it!
Thanks for remembering to post one
We attempted to crate ours the first night we brought her home from the shelter...made it through the first night of listening to her do the most pitiful baby wolf cry thingy I had ever heard. It literally made me cry, but I stuck it out and didn't sleep a wink. By the second night, I was just heartbroken for how lonely she sounded in her little crate, so I snuck her into the bed once hubby fell asleep.
She slept on the bed with us from the 2nd night on. She housetrained within 3 days and now 11 years later, she is honestly like a child to me.
Me = pushover!
MORE PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm in your crotch... waiting for you to stop post whoring.
Oh... look up there... waterlilly.

OMG!
Anyhow, we've just had our last night of classes and next week he has some kind of dog test called the "good citizen" test I believe. He's actually come a long way... despite the fact that he jumped through the small 6" opening in our car window as we're still pulling into the parking lot of our dog kennel tonight. I'm pretty sure he landed on his head. (he jumped because he loves to go... not to escape)
