Any LUSH women here?

10,796 659 July 25, 2007 at 09:56 AM in Help
Has anyone found a place where they can buy LUSH products at a discount, or with less expensive/free shipping? Even through Amazon, the shipping is very high.

I haven't found an outlet in the DC Metro area. Anyone?

Seriously though...if you smell any of the body butters and find a few that smell really good...let me know which ones. That's what I think I wanna spend my gift certificate on.
K, I'll let you know. I have no clue when I'll be back to N.O. My whole family is there, but it's really depressing. I used to visit them every couple of months and now I find it hard to go even once a year. Frown

I can't believe neither of my sisters want to go to Lush. Crazy They don't know what they're missing.

Actually I am really really jealous but I am covering it very well with an air of nonchalance. I bet you don't even know I am jealous.
My SO is seriously awesome. He picked out half of that stuff. nod

One of them had chocolate pieces in it and I felt so sexy afterwards. laugh out loud I have no clue how a bath bomb (or whatever it was) can make you feel sexy, but it did. I almost wanted to eat myself. EEK! Teehee

Ocean Salt rocks too. In the store, the girl did a hand treatment on me... she started with the Lemony Flutter, then exfoliated with the Ocean Salt. Rinsed it off, used some Dream Cream on my hands and some more Lemony Flutter on my cuticles.

My hands were so freakin' soft I couldn't believe it. You can use the Ocean Salt all over your body too.
You know, I've really been wanting to try the ocean salt. Is it better than the other sugar/salt scrubs out there? Cause I have several of those (non-lush) but I keep putting in my cart...then taking it out..then putting it back in again laugh out loud I Love dream cream. And it lasts for freaking ever.

I did. And I blame you all. Nono2

I went today. Mainly because there was a party/ event and in case I saw something I liked, I wanted the option of a goodie bag. laugh out loud

Curse you all!!! I rushed home (after all my errand-running) and had to shower to try them out. What did I buy?
  • Two small Buffy [lush.com] body butters (since it was buy 2, get the tin [lush.com] for free and the one item I wanted most was something to help exfoliate)
  • A tub of Big [lush.com] shampoo [size=1](mainly because Autumn only raves about it in every other post and the SA recommended it for my hair type
  • A slice of Bohemian [lush.com] soap
One SA gave me two samples: Ultra Bland [lush.com] cleanser and Eau Roma Water [lush.com]

My goodie bag came with samples of:

I am incredibly and absolutely in love with the heart Buffy body butter. heart Unfreakingbelievable! It truly exfoliates but it is so seriously moisturizing. I could freaking see the layer of "lotiony" stuff and the water collected into beads on the surface! Amazing! And when I got out of the shower, my skin was sooo soft and smooth. Just completely unheard of with my horribly hard water. I am soooo sold by the Buffy product alone.

After try #1 of the Big shampoo, I'm a bit let down after seeing such raving reviews, but I'll give it some more time. Smilie I love the way it lathers and smells and the texture. Just doesn't seem to do much for my hair. But again, we'll see.

Woo hoo!

A new incredibly expensive addiction! laugh out loud

And pics of my swag:

Weird, my links don't seem to want to work, I'll just do a url link to them both, too.

I love Big. It doesn't lather up like traditonal shampoo. That does take some getting use to, I'll admit. But you need a conditioner too. I have Retread (Autumn's recommendation) and Coolaulin'. I like both. But I tell ya, I love the smell of my hair after Big and Retread. Girly

I love the way Big lathers and smells. It just didn't do anything special for my hair. And for that price? EEK! But I poked around the LUSH forums and apparently there's some sort of giant war between those natural products and hair products with silicones added in 'em (which would be most brands we're used to hearing about). Apparently, they say it's best to get totally off the silicone-ingredients products and do a "transition" to all-natural (AKA Lush). I ono yet if I "buy" that. Especially since I just shelled out a butt-load of money on Fekkai stuff the last couple of months. Dontknow

Thanks. Big Grin I actually spent the perfect amount-- the minimum required for a goodie bag was $45 and my purchase with tax was $45.xx. laugh out loud

Today I was at the Orlando Int'l airport and I went to Lush.

I bought Curly Wurly shampoo, Retread conditioner, and Sandstone soap. I got two samples of their face products... an eye makeup remover and a toner. I looked at their face care line. $$$$$ OMG I am excited to try them though Big Grin

I spend way too much money at Lush. Frown
