Any LUSH women here?

10,796 659 July 25, 2007 at 09:56 AM in Help
Has anyone found a place where they can buy LUSH products at a discount, or with less expensive/free shipping? Even through Amazon, the shipping is very high.

I haven't found an outlet in the DC Metro area. Anyone?

Oh! Also the body butters I got with that last deal SK posted are AMAZING! I got the Amazonian for free and it's HUGE! And the smell lasts for freaking EVER. I wish they made more body butters. I like them because the smell doesn't fade after a few minutes but it's not over powering either.

At the risk of making this my personal thread, I hope this interests someone else...maybe someone in the DC area.

Yesterday there was a LUSH event at the Tyson's Corner store. I went, but if you're in the area and missed it, don't despair! There's another one next Saturday. If you RSVP in advance through www.lush.com I'll see you there! There will be giveaways and I also found out that, if you join their forums, you get even more free stuff!

Here's what I got:
Paid for:
Retread conditioner
Mange Too Massage Bar
Baby Face Cleanser
Lush Tin

Free Items:
With a $45 purchase, you got a free hair gel, so I got Big Tease Hair Gel
2 Free Items for RSVP: Mudflats face cleanser and Karma Bubble Bar
Gift Bag included: huge sample of Heavenly Bodies Body Butter, Fair Trade Foot Lotion Sample, Aromaorant Deod. Sample, and another Sympathy for the Skin. Big Grin
Birthday Gifts (a friend was with me and decided to buy my birthday gifts there):
Honey Bee Bath Bomb
Blackberry Bath Bomb
Bathos Bubble Bar

There was an event in Dallas today too. I never thought to look until I saw SlicKitty's post. Hoepfully next month they will host one again.

There's a place near me called Bath Junkie. It has all the same type of products as lush, but what's cool about it is you actually make it, with scents and colors of your choosing. Say you want a salt scrub ($27, but lasted me like almost 2 years), you pick as many fragrances as you want, and then they ask you for a color. They pour it all in a big old bowl and mix it right there in front of you, asking you if the scent is strong enough, if the color's right, etc. It's cool.

That sounds really neat! Do they have shampoo and conditioner and lotions too?

Oh yeah, all of that. It's a bit pricey, but like I said, totally customized. So if you make the scent strong, a little could go a long way
