i really think i'm supposed to be a chef
i believe i missed my calling
1. there's a glut of talent
2. if you work for someone, earnings are lowwww
3. if you buy a place, expect it to be a money drain/personal drain. i've known more awesome folks on this side of things. there is one that got funding - she's already a high roller though - and that awesome place had maybe a 5 year run.
4. like vf said, once his house is paid, then maybe school - there's a chunk of cash & time depending on school
5. schools lie
6. consider your current trained position - for money while sidelining culinary biz
7. starte perhaps with volunteer opptys on at least a regular weekly basis
8. develop & market item for local sale. farmer's mkts are good way to connect. in my county, they allow for home cooks to sell for a couple hundred in fees as long as they sell "safe" food - essenially almost anything veg
9. have a few kidletts and cook for them every day...that'll learn ya
10. consider the lowest possible cost entry into food world...think GUY FIERI & his pretzel cart!

Sprint has zero coverage at my house. If their little Air Rave device doesn't work then I'm screwed payint $400 in ETFs only to have to go back to Verizon. The air rave doesn't work in roaming areas which half of my house is and half isn't.
On another note, my respect for Bradley Cooper just went way up. He's going to produce and star in a movie about Chris Kyle.
I can't believe I can't find anything on how to repair my Morphy Richards Food Fusion Kitchen Machine!!!
