At least Boston got the loser point.

In positive news though, I only went 2 weeks of being a free agent before I've been made an offer by the team I played for in the fall. (Lost the championship in OT )

And the guy who wrote "The Hockey Song", Stompin' Tom Connors, died yesterday.
Although the rematch against the Avs this Friday should be interesting.
Bah. It was interesting to see Jagr play, though (two goals). I can't believe he's still in the league.
Anyway... I feel like tonight is the night that Chicago finally loses in regulation. Definitely looking forward to that game.
OH, and can we take a second to talk about how ridiculous this contract is? http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=417663 8 years, $66M for GETZLAF? Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, a good captain, and he plays a good role in Anaheim, but how on earth is he worth that much? I thought the league was trying to avoid long contracts anyway. It struck me as completely absurd, but it will be fun to see what changes occur in Anaheim in the upcoming seasons to balance that out.
Pens have won 12 straight, traded for Brendan Morrow, and apparently still aren't done.
Oh, and Carolina signed Semin to a 5 year, 35 million extension. Seems a lot.
