Are Chicks Really Insecure Against Other Chicks?

I did a search to see if a thread was made about this. I'm a female, and through a series of posts, I'll explain a [sarc]friendly/sarc] im chat with this chick who (obviously) doesn't like me. I am 28 years old, don't care about any of this and am absolutely amazed that someone is insecure enough to want to start a fight.

Now, I've been told that I'm much more mature than my peers--whatever that may be. Most of my girlfriends don't just want to start fights either, and neither do most normal people!

So, after falling into this momentary trap, I've deduced that she is upset or jealous because of some "wrong" I've obviously did to her. But, why are females soooooo...damn catty?

When I saw this topic, it caught my attention because I agree...some girls are catty/jealous of others because they are insecure and can't help feeling inferior. I was hoping to hear more of what happened but doesn't look like it was explained and I'm just confused now. I guess that's for being nosey. To avoid drama with other "girls" (they don't deserve to be called "women"), I tend to avoid them and hang out with more guys since I get along with them so much better. Besides, I don't like talking about purses.

I think even with best friends, there is probably still that air of jealousy and competitiveness still lingering. When I'm hanging out with guys, omg, it's so laid-back and relaxed probably because guys aren't as deep with things as women are. Correct me if I'm wrong.
