Knitters/Crocheters

I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about. Big Grin

I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.

I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.

Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

I only crochet. It can become somewhat of an addiction. The thing is - it's a productive addiction. Happy My thing is that I'm an addict about patterns. I love pattern books! Drool

It's addicting for sure! I love that I can chuck my crocheting down at a moment's notice and not have to worry about it coming unraveled or falling apart unless some lower life form gets its paws on it. Annoyed I'm 1/3 of the way through a second baby blanket for my sister's Twin B, then it's on to a new pattern for shopping bags. Whee

Here is how I've decided to join the squares I bought on ebay. The colors in my pic aren't quite right. The yellow and blue are a bit softer than pictured and I'm joining with a navy blue.

I finished the two blankets for my sister's twins (due any minute!). She wanted this design with the really big holes. I know they're huge for babies, but I'm selfishly hoping they become lovies or wubbies or whatever you want to call the security item of choice. Coverlaugh

Now I'm working on a new mesh bag pattern. It's working up pretty quickly - I think I'll invest in a cone of the cotton yarn for a bunch of these. It would be nice to BYOBags to the grocery store someday.

Thanks PG & BarbaraJean. (Can't bring myself to abbreviate your name.. Coverlaugh) Might bring Drio in here again!

I've been able to spend more time working on projects since I have to sit and wait for my little guy at speech therapy 2x/week. It's nice to have something to do other than just sit there.
