I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about.
I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.
I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.
Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

I just wanted to give a quick update!
A good fringe maker is a scrap of hardwood flooring. Wrap the yarn around it and is the groove side (of the tongue and groove) to slide the scissors in.

I dunno where I can get a piece of hardwood flooring but that sounds like a great idea. I have just been pulling the yarn, cut, pull the yarn cut, then having to pick out 2 light 1 brown one blue and fold then stick through then pull back through hoohaa
Aggie and Barbara, I found you guys another project. I have got to practice crocheting cause I am dying to make these. http://www.lionbrand.c
Here's a crochet version of the blankets I made in case you guys need an easy Christmas gift. http://www.lionbrand.c
Here's the knitting pattern I used but I changed it up a bit on the second one. I made it 44sets across and reversed the pattern on it every few rows. meaning I started with a row of knit then a row of purl then continued k row,p row to 7 rows then reversed so the nubble would be on back. Where I ended with knitting on the previous row I started the next with knitting again then did 7 reversed then repeated with 6&6 then 5&5 4&4 5&5 6&6 and ended with 7&7. Does that make sense? I'll open it and take a picture so it does.

I used different colors for the two I did, and had to buy extra yarn. For the first I used two multi tan, a darker brown and I think green then the second is more beachy two light tan one chocolate and one a blue color with bits of brown mixed in it.
They knit up soooooper quick with Cascade Fixation.

This is the 2x tan blue and chocoloate
This is the first, I said the colors wrong earlier. It's maroon, 2x tan and a sage green.
Kayte, your socks look nice and snuggly. Great job.

Awesome, but I am still not brave enough to try socks as of yet. Hopefully after Christmas I can try something new.
