Knitters/Crocheters

I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about. Big Grin

I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.

I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.

Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

Yarn sale at Michaels!

Thanks guys. Here are the pics of the blanket all finished. Dh said he isn't ready to be revealed as of yet so ...lolStick Out Tongue

I dunno if you can see it but the second pic shows the color difference in the yarns that were in the bag given to me by dh's mother.. I used up all of her yarn (figured it would mean more even though it was a different shade) Looking at the first pic I started about three or four rows right of the 3 row bigger white stripe on the left (does that make sense?) and worked all of the left side. The yarn that I had to buy matched the first couple runs of nana's blanket so I don't know if the mismatched stuff was bought by her or his mother. Crazy though, cause I bought the yarn some 10 years later than what she bought. I truely can't thank yall enough for the help and encouragement. hug

The blanket would fit a twin nicely as it just covers our queen.

Amazing!!

ok, i need help.

I am looking for a hooded baby blanket pattern, with no crochet involved ( i got the klutz kit for Christmas, but i'm not there yet, lol) I need it to be this sort of stripe ( since I have never worked in two colors, I need the instructions, lol)

I don't care what colors the pattern is, I know what I want color wise.

I am attaching a picture of a piece of paper I drew so you can see what I need stripe wise.

hey, I joined Ravelry, and i was trying to up load some projects, but none of the buttons work ( like choose pattern, add friend, etc) I click on them, and nothing happens. I couldn't join the SD group, or add any of y'all as friends, or anything!

what's wrong!

I added you too, TS. Smilie

I may never finish my oldest son's blanket. It's going to be huge! I can't drag it with me in public anymore, so I need a new portable project. I may try to start on the shawl I didn't make myself for Christmas. It could be a really early start for next year's gifts! laugh out loud

I need to visit everybody's profile and see what you're all up to.

I'm needing to start a new project. Going to look through my queue and decide on one.

I designed a bookmark. I love it and have had some compliments on it and requests for the pattern. I think I could actually sell this pattern but have no desire to write it out. I hate writing out a pattern.

I love it! You could sell those - and they would make great presents at Christmas. If you ever get up the gumption to write it out please let us know. Smilie

I did write out the pattern for the shell on the end but after that... well, it just isn't as fun to write out a crochet pattern as it is to make it. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Found this really easy and uber QUICK mitten pattern I'm going to try with BMFA Hollyday ....Just noticed they discontinued Letcia (the super bulky yarn)? Good thing I have some previously purchased.

So it seems I am "hooked". lol. Crocheting makes much more sense to me than knitting. (although I am NOT giving up on the knitting as of yet)

I have crocheted a bag and am working on another. I just have a quick question. If I am using this pattern (http://web.archive.org/web/200701...-here.html) making the large bag and it says to start row 2, do I turn over for row 2 and crochet on top of row one or do I start it on the back side of the chain? Then when I complete row 2 do I just work in circles all the way around to the length?

Thank you for any advice.hug

This is the bag I made yesterday. http://www.joann.com/static/proje...178467.pdf I used leftover yarn from the afghans. I will post a pic after dinner. Smilie
