Knitters/Crocheters

I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about. Big Grin

I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.

I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.

Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

I'm going to try the wine cozy for sure. I need to burn through some of my stash first, but I can see next Christmas shaping up nicely already. Grin

Awesome socks K! High Five

Aggie, I still haven't finished that second bag. I had a major headache for two days and am finally on the downside of it. Been taking pain killers and have been a bit groggy all day and night. Dh told me I was snoring on the couch while he was watching 24. laugh out loud I don't think I am did the top right but oh well. at least It does look like a bag. The youngest boy took the maroon one but now wants the green cause green is his new favorite color.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) 99% of the time though his favorite color is pink. Wink

I'll work up my pattern and you should give it a try. It makes a nice bag. I don't curse nearly as much as I did when trying to attach a huge chain handle to a bag. laugh out loud

Anybody be interested in doing an SD Knit Along and Crochet Along?

We could start with very easy patterns, and work up from there. I would suggest quick knits/crochets that wouldn't hog up a lot of time. We could take turns hosting and have one knit project and one crochet project. Dontknow

So would you host the first crochet pattern, and I'll do the knitting pattern. We could pick out a coffee cozy pattern???

Sounds fun! I invited you to the Ravelry SD group, too.

I'll go search for a coffee cozy pattern that looks good.

Thanks!

Okay, so I'm thinking I'll go with this one because it's free, really basic, pretty easy, and any worsted weight yarn can be used.

Nice!

I'm going to go with this pattern - with the option to add a row of fun fur SC's around the top and bottom to jazz it up.
