Knitters/Crocheters

I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about. Big Grin

I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.

I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.

Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

Aggie, I still haven't finished that second bag. I had a major headache for two days and am finally on the downside of it. Been taking pain killers and have been a bit groggy all day and night. Dh told me I was snoring on the couch while he was watching 24. laugh out loud I don't think I am did the top right but oh well. at least It does look like a bag. The youngest boy took the maroon one but now wants the green cause green is his new favorite color.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) 99% of the time though his favorite color is pink. Wink
Aren't drugs great. I had no idea that I posted this. Hide I look like an idiot. laugh out loud

I'll work up my pattern and you should give it a try. It makes a nice bag. I don't curse nearly as much as I did when trying to attach a huge chain handle to a bag. laugh out loud
That would be great thank you.hug
I am about half way finished with one handle. I had to rip out all of the previous and re work the top of the bag because I am an idiot I guess cause I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get the flat mesh stuff I crocheted to turn into a bag. I think I've got it now but only by trial and error, It looks nothing like the one I was supposed to make. Embarrassment

Anybody be interested in doing an SD Knit Along and Crochet Along?

We could start with very easy patterns, and work up from there. I would suggest quick knits/crochets that wouldn't hog up a lot of time. We could take turns hosting and have one knit project and one crochet project. Dontknow

What is a Knit or crochet along? (Sorry I am out of the loop)

I'll be glad to post it - I should be able to get to it tomorrow.

Check out the Ravelry Slickdealers group. I posted the KAL and CAL. It's 2 patterns - you pick which you want to do. I'm about 1/3 of the way through mine. It's fun!!

I need some help, everywhere I go, doesn't have the yarn I need.

I need some Caron Simply Soft in lemonade, and some Caron Simply Soft in Black. My local JoAnn's only had one skein of the black( no lemonade) and the Wal-Mart doesn't have any of it, and the other craft store I go to is swanky wool only.

I did find it on Ebay, but the seller is claiming he can't fit the yarn into a flat rate box. I refuse to pay $20 in shipping, when I know he could fit a bunch of skeins into a large flat rate box!
