I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about.
I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.
I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.
Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

Yeah, I asked there.
Right now, I'm reading about how to whip my knitting into shape. I got the book Domiknitrix. I'm exactly its target audience - people who know how to knit...learned from Mom, but don't really know how to make something fit. I wouldn't say I'm a really GOOD knitter and I want to be.
I can knit hats and scarves and fingerless gloves, or anything that is tube-shaped, but I'd like to knit a sweater, or a corset, or a more interesting hat (like the mohawk hat), or something with some character. I'm just not interested in boring knitting...I need a challenge and to be able to knit something that is artistic, exciting and unique.
Anyone ever tried it?

I know. They're keeping me busy at the office. I've always been busy at the office, but wow! Also, now that I'm getting much better after my 2 surgeries and my emergency, I stay outside a lot more than I used to. Losing the use of your leg for a period of time will sure make you appreciate it more. I don't spend as much time in the house and on the computer as I used to.
I will let you know what I make, when I finally get something done.
Are you in the SD Ravelry group?
I did and my challenge was to the Doris Chan Avalon Top and 3 Mary Jane Hall scarves. The scarves are very simple so I knew they wouldn't be much of a challenge.
Once I started the top I seriously doubted that I would finish it much less it and the 3 scarves!
But... I've finished one scarf and the top!
Nice scarf jaded.echo!! and SlicKitty, Yes! I'm in the Ravelry SD group, but about as active as a hibernating bear.
