I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about. Big Grin

I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.

I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.

Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

Crochet question for anyone who can answer - how in the heck do you manage multiple strands? I found a great pattern for a baby blanket but it calls for two strands to be worked throughout. I usually wind my yarn into a ball and put it in a plastic bowl so it doesn't roll all over the place and tempt the kids/cats. It also helps me maintain even tension as I work. I guess I could use two bowls - but if anyone has any tips or tricks I'd love to hear it!
Hmm.. I suppose I could wind both skeins into one big ball, but that potentially could be a knotty problem. Scratchchin

As a knitter, I just have one ball on each side of my lap because I usually knit on the couch. But I don't think you should wind both of them together... that would make a mess, I think. But I dunno... Smilie

I totally would make Drio a rainbow hat. Whee It's such a fun yarn to use! I hate that it'll never be cold enough here to actually wear any hats or scarves that I make, so it would be cool to make one for someone who could use it. (Although this is very lightweight yarn and wouldn't be super-warm)

Beautiful hat!

When I crochet with 2 strands I'm generally using scrap yarn so sometimes it's in a ball, sometimes in a skein, sometimes one of each. I really prefer pulling it from a skein. It's less likely to get tangled.
