I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about.
I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.
I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.
Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

I'm working on the yummiest blanket ever right now. I'll post pics when I get it finished. I finished the second grocery bag for my friend while I was flying to and from San Francisco last week.
I really thought I would never get the hang of knitting now I can zip through a line in no time.
Aggiemom, No, the yarn wasn't that bad once I got used to using it. I had used the plain red heart yarn to begin with and kept messing it up and got frustrated and went to look for something different. My ds is all about the color yellow and I thought that yarn was adorable and knew he would love it. After tucking away the rainbow yarn, I just had it in my head that I was going to knit and took off. I made the cap in about three days,(with breaks of course). So if I can take it on for a first project you can do it with the excellent work you have done.
Anyhoo, he loves it as does the 2yo loves his gween hat. Ds2 says his yellow hat is his big bird hat and proudly tells everyone that his mom made it.

I ended up ripping out the handle on bag #2 - I'll finish it up tonight. I improvised the first time on the handle and didn't remember where I'd changed the pattern. The opening was way too small when I got it done. Oh well... Live and learn!
I finished the baby blanket!! I had incentive - the mommy-to-be who got it is my 2 yr old's Godmother and she & her husband drove 5 hrs to be at my son's bday party yesterday. I worked like a mad woman last night and got it done. I hated to let it go - It was so snuggly and squishy and just plain yummy. There's really no better word to describe it. It's going to make a great "keep your dang hands off my newborn" stroller shield and will work great as a SIDS-proof blanket for naps. I may need to make a HUGE version for myself.
Here it is!!

That's a steal on ebay! I'd worry that my gauge wouldn't match up, though. I'm a chicken.
