Knitters/Crocheters

I know that there are a few of you.
I have a lot of time on my hands, so I'm attempting some new things. I'm actually using patterns now, where before I just knitted whatever came about. Big Grin

I'm beginning to realize that I only have small needles and I'm becoming a yarn snob.

I knitted a hat for my nephew, one for myself (no patterns), a baby-carrier (no pattern), and now I'm going to start working on some fingerless gloves.

Anyone else? Any deals on good yarn, needles, etc.?

Hi Knitters and Crocheters! Hope it's okay to post this here. I thought you might like to enter a contest (I posted) to win $300 worth of yarn at your local knitting store. Here's the link to the contest thread.
Good Luck! Whee
Thank you!

laugh out loud I love it! Wish I'd get one for Christmas. Would have been a cute gift idea to make for knitting friends.

That looks like a great pattern! I made it through bag #3 for my vegan friend - she loved them! We exchanged gifts Friday b/c she flew with the kids to the grandparents yesterday.

I'm on row 3 of another baby blanket and then I have to do 2 more. I love the pattern for the baby blanket, though - all DCs with squishy yarn. Nice.

Hey everyone! I need some help from someone that knows what they're doing. laugh out loud

I started my first knitting project a loooong time ago (~1-2 years ago) and never got very far. Life happened and I lost my knitting and forgot all about it. Well, I have recently found it (I had put it away for safe keeping, doncha know? laugh out loud ) and starting on it again.I have dropped stitches before and because of how they dropped, I was able to find them again easily and pick them up. However, on the last stitch on a row, I dropped it and I can't figure how for the life of me how to get it back on. Frown Can anyone tell me where to pick up my stitch?

I'm not too sure but I forwarded it on to a friend who is CRAZY about knitting and she will be able to find it, I think. I'll let you know what she says.

Thanks so much! I had started on it again and just when I was getting back into it, what do you know, yesterday I dropped it and tried several places to pick it up and it didn't work out. Thought maybe I could say 'screw it' and just leave it, but it looks even worse when I did that. Not to mention that it would sincerely bother me knowing I messed up and didn't fix it. laugh out loud Can you tell I'm a Virgo? laugh out loud

Yes, I did! The colors are a delightful blue and yellow but I'm not sure if many people are using that combination right now. It's very bright!

The workmanship is fantastic. The yarn was sold by KMart, 8 oz for $2.44. 67% Orlon 33% Dacron, 4 ply worsted weight. It appears to be a brand made for KMart.

Ah, it says "Orlon Acrylic and Cacron Polyester are registed DuPont Trademarks. So it's acrylic and polyester. It feels pretty nice, softer that RedHeart.

I'm not allowing myself to get started on it until I finish up the afghan I'm working on for a friend who is having a baby. Wink
