bring them to the beach where LOTS of people have tattoos. point out the older ones and use terms like patina copper and prison tats.

My tattoo is of a cross and even says 'Jesus Christ Conquers' in greek. Shouldn't it be loved by God since it's about Him?

Look at the previous verses. If this verse pertained to the entire act of tattooing as a sin, then, as the previous verses point out, shaving your beard or cutting your hair would also be a sin.

There's nothing wrong with being extreme in your beliefs, but they should affect how you practice your faith . . . . they shouldn't be used to belittle other people.
