bring them to the beach where LOTS of people have tattoos. point out the older ones and use terms like patina copper and prison tats.

job done.

I know, it's certainly easier than trying to assess someone based on their skill set and abilities. You just keep on hiring based on superficial things, I'll keep hiring based on who the person is, and I'll keep coming out ahead nod

PS: Godwin's Law says you lose.
Skills and abilities are just one facet. You can't be so closed minded. Your employees are an extension of your business culture. If your employee with the tattoos are really as crazy and are bad decision makers as I'd make them out to be, when they go and drink and drive at their late night club or get caught with a possession of an illegal firearm. You'll have the moment of "I should have known better!". Why do you think in the NFL they try and psychoanalyze players so deeply before hiring them? Some of the most talented players are not hired because of their lack of character or low image. Check Aaron Hernandez's (all over the news) body out. Covered in tattoos! [wikipedia.org] He's being investigated for two murders. They just said yesterday on the news that investigators examined his body for gang related tattoos. Wonder why!? It says so much about an individual. The man was very talented... and very deranged! Even if he's not guilty of those two crimes I don't think hanging around people who have potentially murdered people puts you in a good light. Especially being investigated for two crimes. Yikes.

Usually the people who make statements like that are not the ones in a position of any power anyway. They do not have real world experience to back up their "claims".
Haha, if you only knew! Ca-ching!

That's what I mean... a bit off! You must have a tattoo don't you? Point proven. nod

What am I supposed to thing of someone that gets their back tatooed with a big dragon? Am I supposed to think: "Wow, that's someone I can put trust into!". Obviously you have mental issues if you think that dragon on your back is cool or says: "high character" about you.

Its like when the Nazis used to put the star of David on jews to let eveyone know of their belief system the same are like tatoos to me. It lets me know the person has a tad bit of crazy in them. Thanks for stamping yourself at least I'll know right away. Don't need to waste my time. laugh out loud
What kind of job do you have where you interview naked people? Scratchhead

I mean let's see . . . . you won't hire someone with a tattoo, and people typically have the majority of their body covered with clothing when going to a job interview. Seeing as how your position is flawless and can't be argued against, the only logical conclusion is that you know 100% whether or not someone has a tattoo. Ergo . . . . you interview naked people. So what do you do? Are you a fluffer?

You must not be a good reader? I said: "Especially if they try putting it in a place were others can see it, it says worlds about them". Neck tattoos, arm tattoos, etc

I'm simply saying that their tattoos on their body don't speak highly of their character. I'm just giving examples of when their failures come back to bite you in the @** as a business owner. I'm not implying that people with tats use firearms or are all criminals, but it gives me an alert of your bad decision making and perhaps mental state.

Seems like slickdeal's has lowered the bar with giving the title of "mod" to people. You aren't giving slickdeals a good image. But then again, I'm sure you are doing big things in life... because you are a mod on slickdeals. haha. No hard feelings. I don't even know why I came in the Lounge. Oh ya, because I wanted to test my software program in a place where no one would see it. Shouldn't have read this thread. Wasting my time. Back to making money. Peace peeps.

So if you hire someone with a tattoo, and you didn't know they had it, are you making a bad decision?

Better not hire anyone that rides a motorcycle, they're probably a gang member.
Oh, and don't hire a woman--if she doesn't realize her place is in the kitchen, who knows what else is wrong with her?
