My songs normally come from a thought that becomes the seed that grows into the concept/lyrics. The music varies from being inspired by another song, or just sitting down and banging out chords until what I have sounds right to me.
That one came together pretty quickly. I have one called Yule Cat (based on the Icelandic legend) that the lyrics were written two years before I got the chords put together.
