The *official* "Screw you Bill Belichick, get the hell out of my favorite sport, you're ruining the game" thread about the lack any New England Patriots sportsmanship (Now w/ POLL)

Quick open letter to the head coach of the Patriots:

Dear Mr. Bill,

You're the head coach of the best team in football, congratulations on your tremendous efforts. Now fark off and leave the sport to those that do not just consider it simply a business because you're sucking the fun out of the game and ruining this sport for not only fans of the teams you embarass, but kids that are learning about something you seem to totally lack: sportsmanship.

Its easier to explain Janet Jackson's floppy booby during a wardrobe malfunction than the planned and continued deliberate actions taken by the players under your direction. Sure its your job to win games, are you not good enough to do it without constantly skirting the rules, using deception and just out and out farking cheating? You're a dirty, unkempt, embarassment to the game.

Get the hell out of the sport.

Sincerely,
- Fans of the NFL and the ultimate purveyors of your salary
Against which team would Tom Brady most likely suffer a career-ending injury?

New poll should be "Will the Patriots ever win another Super Bowl with Bill Belichick as head coach?"

Don't bet on it. Brady is worth more to NE than their entire offense. NE will go down hard like the Boys in the 90s. Reap what you sow baby. By the way, did I tickle a nerve ending?
No nerve tickling here, I am not a fan of the Pats. I just think you are talking out of your ass becuase you sound like a disgrutled fan of another team.

I don't see what everyone's big deal with the pats is.. if it was your team, you'd be ecstatic.
Gibbs wouldn't run up the score in this manner. That's one reason he's so well-respected (even when he is losing) and a great reason why he's in the Hall of Fame.

Quote from iconian :
this was a 2nd quarter, wtf man!
Ok ... let's move onto the 4th quarter:

Quote :
Belicheck kept Brady on the field for an 88-yard drive six minutes into the fourth quarter despite already leading 38-0. On that 14-play drive, the Patriots went for a fourth-and-1 at the Redskins' 7 and ordered a 35-yard bomb to Randy Moss.

Belicheck went for a fourth-and-2 at the Redskins' 37 on the next possession while leading 45-0. Backup QB Matt Cassel hit Jabar Gaffney with a 21-yard pass. Two plays later, Cassel scrambled for a 15-yard touchdown run to open up a 52-0 lead.

Asked why he would go for two fourth downs in a blowout, Belichick responded, "What do you want us to do, kick a field goal?"

Pressed further, he said, "It's 38-0. It's fourth down. We're just out there playing."

Rammy, my team got steamrolled by the Pats this season but they played until the end and none of the players cried at the end. They actually spoke about how good that team was and gave them their compliments. Why is this all of a sudden a big deal? I actaully enjoy watching the Pats do the damage that they are doing. Like I said earlier, it reminds me of college football and I am loving Sunday football again.

Something from ESPN:

Quote :
Redskins veterans Phillip Daniels and Marcus Washington, who have 18 years combined NFL experience, both said they had never seen a team run up the score the way the Patriots are doing ... saying flat out that Belichick was running up the score.
...
Of course, the Redskins didn't have the ability to stop it. Their defense entered the game short-handed and left beheaded. Fred Smoot, the team's third cornerback, couldn't play because of a hamstring injury. Linebacker Marcus Washington was limited to passing plays because of a sore hamstring. On the Patriots' first touchdown drive, starting cornerback Carlos Rogers suffered an injury that could range from a sprained MCL (out for a few days) to a torn ACL (lost for the season). Linebacker Rocky McIntosh also was injured.

Consequently, the Redskins lost their opportunity to match up with the Pats' top four receivers. Gibbs had just three true corners left on the active roster -- Shawn Springs, Leigh Torrence and David Macklin. Brady completed 29 of 38 for 306 yards and three touchdowns.

To make matters worse, Gibbs and the coaches lost their communication system during the game. They couldn't work the headsets
.

Conversely, I am increasingly drawn back towards collegiate ball.

I think he's trying to prove a point that the Pats can easily dominate teams without the help of spy cameras. They are running up the score and going for it on 4th down to get back at all the critics who crucified them after the first week and "spygate". Think of it as a big middle finger to anyone that bitched and moaned about how "the Patriots only won 3 super bowls because they were cheating"

I have no problem with what they are doing, I would be doing the same thing.
Thank You....nod

Yeah.. can't cheat so just stomp the hell out of every team in your path to the Super Bowl. Prove to the world that your bowl wins were not from cheating but the skill of your coaches and players.

In 2002 America was behind the Patriots after 9/11 , but after spygate, signing Moss, and running up the score on teams, I see the tide changing against Patriots and If the Cowboys meet the Patriots in the Superbowl, this Redskin fan will be hoping for a Cowboy victory.

Ooooo such a big man he is! I wanna be like Bill! Bullshit. I want my kids to succeed and strive to be the best but you're crazy if I'm going to pull this crap.

For example, I'm the first one in the faces of my kids if they say "Ha ha" to an opponent after scoring a goal. There's a big difference between kids just turning 5 and those that are about to hit 6 on the soccer field. Its common courtesy to pull your 6 year olds off if the game has gotten out of hand. I teach competitiveness and sportsmanship and I want my kids to strive for both. Win a game fairly or don't show up and sure as hell don't try to defend actions to the contrary - even if its your team!

You don't measure a man by what he's done, you measure it by how he's done it and who he is.

Too bad whatever they do now will not prove that the cheating they did in the past wasn't the cause for their success in the past. shake head

look the thing is, what if the roles were reversed. What if the patriots weren't a good team (like they had been for many years in the past... the cowboys or someone come into their stadium and run the score up JUST the same way the patriots did. No knee downs or anything.

Would you patriot fans be upset over this? I'm pretty sure yall would be.... Any fan would be. It's disrespectful

I understand this is a no mercy league but there is some respect to be shown. If it happened to your favorite team, you would be in here complaining about xxxx running up the score against your patriots.

Don't even try and tell me you wouldn't.... I have a good point here
