The *official* "Screw you Bill Belichick, get the hell out of my favorite sport, you're ruining the game" thread about the lack any New England Patriots sportsmanship (Now w/ POLL)

24,860 1,948 October 28, 2007 at 05:44 PM in Rant
Quick open letter to the head coach of the Patriots:

Dear Mr. Bill,

You're the head coach of the best team in football, congratulations on your tremendous efforts. Now fark off and leave the sport to those that do not just consider it simply a business because you're sucking the fun out of the game and ruining this sport for not only fans of the teams you embarass, but kids that are learning about something you seem to totally lack: sportsmanship.

Its easier to explain Janet Jackson's floppy booby during a wardrobe malfunction than the planned and continued deliberate actions taken by the players under your direction. Sure its your job to win games, are you not good enough to do it without constantly skirting the rules, using deception and just out and out farking cheating? You're a dirty, unkempt, embarassment to the game.

Get the hell out of the sport.

Sincerely,
- Fans of the NFL and the ultimate purveyors of your salary
Against which team would Tom Brady most likely suffer a career-ending injury?

New poll should be "Will the Patriots ever win another Super Bowl with Bill Belichick as head coach?"

boston herald:
Will Brady pay for running up score?
Posted: Wednesday October 31, 2007 07:48AM ET

Patriots fans undoubtedly are thinking it, and yesterday former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher said it: If the Patriots keep running up the score, will someone like Tom Brady pay the price? The subject of the Pats' late-game tactics is causing a lot of buzz around the NFL, particularly after Sunday's 52-7 victory over the Washington Redskins, when the Patriots converted a pair of fourth downs in the fourth quarter and threw for a touchdown on the goal line that made it 45-0. On a CBS conference call with reporters yesterday, Cowher noted the Patriots could be playing a dangerous game. The highest profile target is Brady, who was not lifted until the Pats led 45-0 Sunday.

and others are saying the same thing.

Gutierrez came in with 3:45 to go that game. He even passed on 3rd and 5.

There is going against the grain and there is just out and out laffable:

Quote :
For 70 consecutive game weeks, Belichick has listed Tom Brady on the injury report as "probable" due to a "right shoulder" injury. Seventy consecutive weeks and Brady hasn't missed a single game. Seventy consecutive weeks of mocking the league.

Here's a interesting debate :

Quote :
The league changed its rules last year to disallow a player like Shawne Merriman from being considered for selection to the Pro Bowl in a season in which he served a suspension for testing positive for a banned substance. But should New England coach Bill Belichick be disqualified from winning any individual honor after being punished this year for his role in Spy-Gate? After all, he did acknowledge breaking league rules with his team's video-taping practices. Is there an appreciable difference in the two situations?

Actually there is one, Belichick was not the person caught breaking a rule, but that shouldn't matter since he was the one singled out by the league as being responsible for the act occuring.

There is no rule against naming a player "Probable" for each week. I haven't heard of any teams complaining that they weren't sure if Cassels or Brady were starting..... Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Yea, NE isn't running up the score. Up 28-7 NE calls timeout on first down with 0:22 seconds on the Buffalo 17 and start throwing passes into the endzone (2nd pass made it 35-7).

Brady looks just unstoppable, 22/28, 287 yards, 4 TDs at the half. Would be a shame if someone takes out his legs on a late hit.

look at the comebacks this year alone. there's no such thing as a safe lead in the first half. heck look at that miami game this year against the pats. <5 minutes to go, and 2 possession lead in the fourth is a whoooooole different story.
