Noice!
I don't see Tumi on sale like this very often!

I have Tumi luggage that's over 15 years old and, apart from discoloration of some nylon on the inside, is holding up very well after numerous trips.

I still need another larger suitcase, so thanks OP!

I am worried that expensive luggage like this gets stolen in transit.. can anyone confirm if luggage can be stolen in transit traveling internationally via commercial airplane

I take it yours is soft sided? I'd never buy these - even though they're semi soft, they tend to not hold up nearly as well.

Yeah, my old stuff is the ballistic nylon -- great stuff. Good point about the hard & semi soft luggage probably not holding up as well, even if it is Tumi.

if your luggage is lost or damage, you could submit a claim to the airline within 24 hours of your destination arrival. They are responsible for any damage.

I carry LV luggage all the time, nothing happen shake head

these are Tumi "T-tech" they are like the cheap version of Tumi. The one you have for 15 years are most likely the good stuff. Wink

Yes but there are limitations on how much you can claim.. it might not even make up for the cost of the luggage

Umm it is largest allowed 9x14x22 any larger and you are an asshole taking up valuable overhead and hopefully one day the airlines will be strict on checking sizes.
