I'm going to assume everyone else's first Monday of '15 sucks/blows as badly as mine. I feel like I got runover by a streetcar or something. 58 more days (but no more than 72 no matter what).

DW's car died on her way to work this morning. It's fixed now, but not how I wanted to start the year.

That's pretty sucky too since its so cold. Battery? Alternator? Hopefully something minor.

Turned out to be an coil pack. Never had one of those fail while driving. DW said she was driving down the road and just lost power - no warning or anything. Wouldn't refire when I tried, or when the tow truck driver tried as well. They had it diagnosed and fixed pretty fast.

Snowing here this morning. Had to laugh out loud at people in ditches that don't understand the concept of "slow the eff down" when it's snowing out.

I love it when those same people in the ditches are in 4 wheel drive vehicles. 4 wheel or all wheel drive helps but you still have to obey the laws of physics; it's not a super power. laugh out loud

It's hilarious to watch Facebook and everyone complaining why their kids shouldn't go to school, why they shouldn't have to go to work, etc.

I drove to work this morning. Slow, but steady. I didn't do anything stupid and allowed plenty of space to stop. And you know what? Not a dent on my car.

It never ceases to amaze me that people who live in Detroit, the northeast or even Denver still haven't learned the basics of driving in snowy weather (slower, leave more space, longer stopping times). It's not like it's Tampa and snow is completely unexpected

I've been driving in snow for 18 years now. Never had an accident, never spun out. It's not that hard. Most of the time I'll just stay home to avoid the idiots that *think* they know how to drive in it.
