I wouldn't say I'm dead inside or burned out. It's more like I've just become less frustrated with all the crap. I guess it was the day I got laid off that it happened. I had a trip planned as well as the bride, and she was panicking because she knew I needed to get away and thought I wouldn't be able to. I told her we will just have faith that everything will work out and continue on as planned and just put a hold on the frivolous spending (Chive gear being the most frivolous). Within 2 weeks I had accepted an offer for about the same pay at a much better company (consistently voted in the top 10 most enjoyable places to work in VA), still had 2 months of severance left, and the unemployment office gave me a month's worth of salary. In the end I had paid off the remainder of my debt, bought a new kitchen range, bought a new fridge, got a new HVAC unit for the 2nd floor, bought a dyson, and just paid cash for a new car for the bride last week. I guess I'm just apathetic towards struggles these days. In the end I know everything will work out just fine as long as we continue to live right.

It's a badass vacuum! The Shark's version of the one I got is more expensive then what I paid for it. I had to drive an hour to get it at that price, but hey....anything to make the ginger happy.

This was the $500 pet vacuum that they discontinued (still eligible for warranty) that I got for $160. It's awesome.

Side note: I just got a raise! Whee

I rode my motorcycle in to work this morning. 36 degrees at 80 miles per hour can get pretty cold... Cold
Yes, yes it can...I enjoy seeing the frost on lawns and roof tops on my way to work.

It may not rain in sunny california, but it does get cold overnight.

+1 for heated glove liners (my thumbs were freezing off until I got them)
+1 for heated boot warmers.
