Maybe the ripping phart sounds were so loud, they didn't think the construction noise would be a problem? LMAO

Roll

But the plans for the construction were started before I started working here.

What about the stink?
Lentils. Plenty of gas, but no stink when they are sprouted before they are cooked.

It is that wonderful time of year when red, green, and yellow lentils make wonderful soup, especially with some chicken or beef stock. Licklips

No, I prefer to mash and mix them by hand. Using a mixer/beater results in too uniform/smooth a filling, and I prefer to retain some of the fibrous texture of the sweet potatoes. A long, long time ago, before I had a mixer at all, I used a whisk to make my cheesecakes. Then I got a electric hand mixer. It was SOOOO much easier. But the cake didn't taste or feel the same. I learned then, if you're gonna use an electric mixer, use it minimally and don't over-process your batter.
That's similar to what I told the kid when I saw her using an electric mixer on chocolate chip cookie batter. You can use one, but IMO you shouldn't.

With rare exceptions, I'm always talking about Steak Umms when I make steak sandwiches at home.

For cookies or brownies, I just use a fork and mix them by hand. And a spatula to get all that yummy goodness into/onto the cooking pan. Licklips

I found the same thing with biscuits. I used my mixer once, and they came out flat, but doing it by hand with minimal mixing creates yummy, fluffy treats better suited as a vehicle for eggs and meats.

VF, is this [amazon.com] a good deal on CC? Also, how would you rate the Chicory?

I'm running low and need to feed my addiction!

My beard is getting unruly. It's got more opinions about which direction it's going than Donald Trump has compliments for himself.

Oh Jeebus, that's a busy day.
Today I'm at my little cube, sipping some nice coffee, got my Panera sandwich here.

Today will be different.

That product is 100% chicory, and no coffee whatsoever. That's why it's so inexpensive. I would never drink 100% chicory. EEK!

Six 12-oz bags for $20 is a great deal. I personally don't care for Chicory, but that's the New Orleans style from way back in the old days. The chicory would smooth out the harshness of the dark French roast coffee.

I signed up at http://www.communitycoffee.com/ and joined their "Coffee Club" for repeat shipments several years ago. Today their website is running a deal for 20% off plus free shipping with promotion code "OCT20" and $40 of purchases.

If I were going to order through Amazon, I'd probably pick one from these:

Dark Roast [amazon.com] Three 12-ounce bags for $15

Cafe Special [amazon.com] Three 12-ounce bags for $23

House Blend [amazon.com] Three 12-ounce bags for $23

Unfortunately, the Big "A" doesn't carry either their French Roast or their Espresso varieties. Frown
But the prices from Amazon are certainly good, even for one-time orders.
