Songs that I want to be in my current rotation
Songs I played last week
Songs that are on a rest period
Songs that need a little more work before public performance
Seasonal songs.
When I'm packing up, the night's songs that I actually played move from section one to section two. If section 1 starts to get a little thin, then I go through section 2 and see what I feel like replenishing it with, or sometimes there will be a request, or a comment made, or a good follow-up to a song someone else plays that gets something to move out of standard orbit.
