Also... I'm very much glad that some enterprising fellows figured out how to replace the speedometer cable in the Miata from under the dash (versus the standard method that involves removing the instrument cluster). I think my second automotive repair ever was a speedometer cable replacement, and it took all day due to removing/replacing most of the dashboard. The most complicated part of this one was rotating the release clip into the appropriate position, and that was simplified by having a helper outside the vehicle.

I seriously considered pulling the instrument cluster from the 55 yesterday, as long as I have the dash removed. I've either got a broken speedo cable or need to have the speedo repaired. It was making a horrible noise for the longest time, then went completely dead. Frown

To be fair, that's processed by the butcher already. Everything can be stacked nicely, but you can't get a much bigger freezer unless it's a walk-in.
