I believe that's illegal and probably not a good idea to post proof of the illegal activity.

From what I've found they haven't been endangered or at risk since the 70's when the use of DDT was ceased. They are classified as an abundant species now. But....you can't believe everything you read on the internet so I'll edit the post.

It makes me sad to think of killing those beautiful birds of prey, but I also kinda get why you do it (and I know you're not an excess kind of person) so I just wanted to be sure you don't get in trouble.

hug Understood, and thank you. This was a protective kill. The oldest shares my philosophy that trophy hunting should be illegal, but you should always be able to defend your food source (not to say philosophy trumps law). We have an abundance of birds of prey out here: eagles, hawks, falcons, etc.. The other day I saw a low flying bald eagle flying with a foot trap on it (not my trap). The poor thing will likely lose it's claw. The odd thing is that the eagles don't bother the chickens, and they are much larger than this was.

As for ground predators, I have a live trap that I keep which has helped me relocate many a cat, opossum, and racoon.....thankfully no skunks yet.

I already had that battle over at Egg Man's. I had to bathe in salsa because we didn't have any tomato juice.

I just saw a video of Nick Mangold, Jets center. He's a grilling/smoking enthusiast and has a green egg laugh out loud

My group lead at work bought a Green Egg smoker last year. His wife smoked a turkey for lunch one day, and it was truly exquisite.
