My dad just got out of surgery to have a cyst removed from the nerves on his spinal column.
Ouch. Hope they did a good and very careful job of removing it, and that he heals quickly. Just the relief from the pressure being gone will be a blessing.

I bought some staples for the staple gun over lunch, and had the misfortune to hear some country cover of Landslide. It was awful.
I'm recovering one of our piano stools, I got most of the way done last night before I ran out of staples.

True. He is almost 80, hits the gym 5 days a week, and plays racquetball 3 days a week. The only thing going is his mind, and I'm sure I inherited that from him, too.

It just hit me that I get to sleep in tomorrow! Most of the time, even when I have the day off I still get up to take the kid to school, but it's still winter break.

I didn't have time to cook and picked up an avocado and hummus wrap @ Au Bon Pain. I had a GC and a coupon.

I'm looking forward to whichever day this week I turn the leftover pot roast from Sunday into French dip. Probably Thursday.
