The worst is when one of us has to give him a technical answer to a question, and then hearing his abomination of a regurgitation for the client.


And out of professional courtesy for a former co-worker, I'm taking a call from a headhunter tomorrow. I told her it would have to be a pretty fantastic offer to get me to consider jumping ship!

FF certainly makes a convincing case for F1 to add a little chlorine to the gene pool. nod

I had three (count 'em, three!) farking wonkference calls this morning, including one at noon, called by a so-called 'business liaison' person, to review two so-called 'defects' (not!). It seems the people who claimed the data was a defect didn't bother to show up for the call. The one person who did, couldn't find their spreadsheet. The business liaison was incensed, and apologized profusely to the business person who DID show up for the call. Fortunately, I had a group lead from my office listening in on the call, so someone else understood what a train wreck this was. Also fortunately, he's friends with the business person attending the call, and was IM'ing with him much of the time.

I promptly replied to the entire chain and said "actually, I just explained to you the circumstances that caused this--I'm not looking into anything. And by the way, I see where you're going on this other problem, and that's not going to be viable."
