22,984 6,520 February 17, 2015 at 07:39 PM
Seeing there has been a lot more vaping threads, I figured it would be nice to start a thread here in the lounge where vapers could chat, discuss vaping, deals on vaping, and their setups.I have noticed a lot of vapers in the forums and people who are looking to try out vaping.

So if you are a vaper, looking to quit smoking, or just looking for some info come join us Smilie

Those not interested in vaping or looking to discuss/debate health topics, negatives or anti-vaping opinions are more then welcome to post elsewhere. This is not the place.

So my story:

I tried vaping a year ago, but wasn't committed to it. After a bout of bronchitis I decided it was time to quit smoking. I have been smoke free for a little over a month now due to vaping. I'm not a heavy vaper, just a simple ego battery and some tanks. Nothing fancy. laugh out loud

I was buying juice at a local shop but decided to check out MtBakerVapor since I heard some great things about it. My order comes thursday. Whee

So whats your story, set up, favorite juices, etc. ?

I have a smoke on the way to work, one on the way home, and two at night with the bride when the kids go to sleep. The rest of the time I vape. I use an eLeaf iStick batter pack and a Nautilus Aspire tank. The voltage is set at 5.5 so I get a strong hit, and I mix 4 drops of peanut butter juice with a half tank cinnamon toast crunch and a half tank chocolate cake.

Eewww, BG was a dirty smoker!

Scratchchin or...

"Remember Chris, if she smokes, she pokes" -'Lois' from Family Guy

How you doin'? Wink2Smoke

A guy at work does it. It's literally in his hand all day long and he looks like a crack head using it during meetings while trying to be all discreet about it...

Edit: Bah, didn't see the no OT Sadwalk

My parents have been smokers for over 40 years... how do I convince them to try this? or... like why would they want to? Aside from less cancer and all?

and your place of employment is okay with him doing this? it still gives off second hand "smoke" (ie: nicotine). e-cigs/vapes are banned from internal use here just like regular cigarettes.

Perhaps just buy them one of the starter kits. They're even on Groupon, although I don't know if they're good deals or not.

Yeah, we're all surprised he hasn't been told to stop ... I think the company just doesn't have a policy yet and nobody from HR has heard about it and asked him to stop.

Do not go with a starter kit, and do not go with something that is tobacco flavored. Find a flavor of something they both like. I prefer something sweet with something salty. A good vape system will give them a kick in the back of their throat just like a cigarette, and it should be adjustable so the kick can be controlled.

I'm allowed to at my office job. You have to follow the money when they start regulating this stuff. The amount of tax revenue and corporate profits being lost because people are starting to vape instead of smoke has to be enormous. This results in two huge entities working together to discount the benefits of vaping over smoking: the government and the tobacco industry. Consequently you have biased studies and baseless statements being spread by both. As for putting nicotine in the air.......please. There's more nicotine in tomatoes and potatoes. Should those be banned at work?

last I knew, my tomatoes and potatoes doesn't send vapors into the air to be inhaled by someone involuntarily. vapes and cigarettes are also over 1750 ng/gs, while a tomato is around 10 ng/gs. come on now, chewspam... some common sense. I know you have it.

YMMV, I like the tobacco flavors. I also don't have a crazy setup like you, mine is probably more like BG's.

Do they cough and hack a lot? Would they like to stop doing that?

I think people look ridiculious when they are vaping. Guess that I might get used to seeing it eventually.

You inhale involuntarily? Is this something you would like to give up? Doesn't everyone do it both voluntarily and involuntarily at times? And all I'm saying is that you are bitching about a naturally occurring substance being in the air: one that i'm sure you consume on a regular basis. I mean I'll jump on the bandwagon with you if we can regulate farting in the office and reheating seafood in the microwave as well. Nobody wants to inhale that shit....voluntarily or involuntarily.
