This is my recipe for my Blackberry Homemade Wine Cake:

1 white cake mix
1 6 oz. box of blackberry jello

Mix together, then add:

4 eggs
1 cup of oil
1 cup of blackberry wine

Put into a tube or bundt pan, bake in a preheated oven of 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
I have found it is good just like this but if you would like to drizzle some glaze over it when partly cooled:

Use equal amounts of wine and powdered sugar [1/2 cup of each should be enough], mixed, and drizzled over the cake. Reminder: the alcohol will bake off in the cake but it will be present in the frosting!


Now, my 'cowboy' has made wine of all the fruits/berries on our farm...
although he doesn't even drink...shake head ...for friends mostly...
so I have tried this recipe with several flavors of wine...Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, Peach...
just adjust the jello flavor to match the wine!

Really is a easy cake to put together, stays very moist, and always is a special surprise for guests!

My apologies to all. I was trying to be funny. I just feel like a luker when I'm the only one on the thread late at night reading everything everyone has written when they're not around.
