Was not aware that Babywise was denounced by pediatrics. Weird. Failure to thrive?! I think not. As with any parenting book, you take it with a grain of salt, apply what works for you, and move on. With my first one, I was clueless (aren't we all?! OMG ) and about to go out of my mind. Didn't know when to feed him, when to put him to sleep, etc. Read that book and it changed my life. It made so much sense to me, and my son thrived with the schedule. Mind you, I wasn't rigid with the schedule - that's where common sense comes in. But once the boundaries were put in place with him, he became so much more manageable.

'Course then my daughter was born and we had to totally re-work everything! shake head Figured out she had to be swaddled in order to sleep. But once that was figured out, she settled right into her schedule as well.

Aren't babies just amazing?! heart Now that my second is 14 months, we *think* we might be ready for another. But are you ever really ready? Not sure. Its hard to imagine loving another as much as we love these two.

Does anyone who lives by a SuperTarget know - do they ever send out weekly ads of their grocery sales, like a regular grocery store? Or is it just what's in the regular Target ad?

Well...littleteapot...looks like you get that free similac check!!! Your post was really cute!!!! I hate that there was so little interest...considering that the last Enfamil check I got... I used on a totally non-enfamil purchase!!! Wink YMMV as with pretty much anything Target related these days!!! I'll be pm'ing you for your info. Smilie

I have to tell you all about the brilliant thing I did last night. I got home with my new toy (Eureka vacuum) and of course I had to play with it!!!! I was in my daughter's room cleaning the carpet, baseboards, etc. Had to experiment with the attachments... it has this cool 'power paw' that could pick up rocks! It occurred to me that I needed to clean her ceiling fan, so I climbed on top of her bed. I brought the vacuum w/me so the hose would reach. I stood it up on the bed, turned it back on, and man...that baby was goin to town on the ceiling fan...when out of nowhere...my precious Eureka sounded like it was choking to death!!! OMG It was so horrific...I thought "Crap...I knew that price was too good to be true!!" All of a sudden, my dd yelled, "MOM...IT"S EATING MY BLANKET!"

I shut it off... thinking..."Is that all that's wrong with it?".... "Well, thank goodness!!!" Big Grin I didn't realize that the brush still turns when you're using the attachments!!! Embarrassment I only maimed the blanket! To think that I could be mourning the loss of my brand new cleaning companion, not to mention my dd's comforter that was just inches away from the jaws of death!!! Moral: Keep your vacuum on the floor!!!! Whistling

Ah, I live with a brit, so I can't escape the british comedies. They're good, but some of them, well, I look at my dh and go "you really are still 7 years old, aren't you?" As he laughs so hard he's crying....and my 7 year old is sitting next to him doing the same thing....
Sometimes, I'm still 7-yo, too (though not nearly as often as DH!)...

Funny, wasn't 'smeg' invented by the cat/human guy?
You mean "Cat"? Wink I can't remember who, if anyone, *invented* it, but they all used it.... espeically Rimmer.

If you like those shows, watch out for a comedy called "little britain." Your menfolk will adore it. or Men Behaving Badly. The british version was great. and Coupling. Loved Coupling. Again, the british version, not the american.
Never saw Little Britain, but will keep an eye out. Coupling was good, but our local PBS stopped airing it after only a few shows... Sadwalk

Why am I reading about Walgreen's, Walmart, Publix, blah blah blah in the TARGET DEAL THREAD??!!

I can't handle users that don't venture out of the T thread and Horse in the TARGET thread!

I know, I know Dead Horse but it is getting on my very last nerve. I am all about deals...but but in the appropriate threads.

Right. Using expired doctored salsa coupons for overage and expired coupons that stack for Luvs.. and all of that, its real hardcore.
No one ever had to *doctor* that particular Q. Nono And I for one, rather resent the suggestion that anyone here on SD ever did. Mad

I guess CVS-ers never use expired Qs.... which is why the wiki for the printable CVS coupon thread specifically lists expired CVS Qs that will still work w/o beeps for another 2 weeks past the expiration date. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I'm not trying to stir anything up, really.
When you inaccurately accuse people of "doctoring" coupons, that tends to "stir things up" a bit. I'm kinda surprised you didn't already know that.

I'm discovering target now and I don't want to talk before I truly see what its all about, but suggest you do the same with CVS Smilie If you're doing it right, its hard core alright. Smilie
You don't want to talk??? Rofl2 Seems a little late to be claiming that now.... Wink

FWIW, my children are fed when hungry, parented to sleep when tired.. but are in no way shape or form easily desribed as "manageable" but we are all happy

OOPS, gotta nurse the wee one to sleep
