Do you think this is everywhere? I'm in California, and I could use some new sheets for my boys.

FWIW, I've been on WIC twice, once a few years ago and again now. When they try to tell me things I disagree with, I ignore them. When they try to tell me things I find useful, I don't. Never seemed all that difficult to me... Dontknow
I agree they are wonderful. I only needed it while on maternity leave and they once you are on it you qualify for a year! You only have to go 1 every 3 months, hardly any trouble for free formula. I figured I pay my taxes, might as well get a little back nod

It's definitely everywhere, confirmed in the other thread by posters who went today across the country but should be very cleaned out by now

Hi All,

In the after-Christmas toy clearance, we found a SpinMaster Storytime Theater projector with the Winnie the Pooh cartridge for $7 or thereabouts, which we're planning on giving our youngest son for his birthday next month. I'd like to have a couple more of the different story cartridges that are (allegedly) available, but can't find them anywhere but Ebay (where they're big $$$).

Any fellow SDers who have seen the storybook cartridges for this item (Dora, Nemo, etc.) recently and can steer me in the right direction?

Many thanks, in advance, for any info!!!

that's funny, I saw that item and took it out of my cart specifically because of the cartridges, I haven't seen them and figured they would be big $

Hi all, I shop Target a lot, but lately the front end leader is starting to stalk me, and it is getting creepy. I really dont use coupons very often, so that is not the reason.

It all started when I brought back a vacuum cleaner that malfunctioned with a current reciept, but not the box, I had thrown it out a couple weeks after purchase. This Team Leader was called over, and basically told me I would get a new one but they would take the box, but if I had future problems I was out of luck, and she saw no reason why this vacuum would malfunction, she was just kind of rude. I just brushed it off, but now everytime I go there (I swear she plans her work schedule around my visitsSmilie)She goes to the clerk that is checking me out and watches over my purchases like a hawk.

I do get a lot of the clearance items, but always legit. There was a question about some clearance diapers from the special buy (after they went 15% off) I tried to buy one box, but they were not scanning correctly. They were with all the other boxes in a different area of the store so I knew they were with the 15% off. Of course she is right there, and she takes them back comes back empty handed and tells me they are not clearance yet, and if I want clearance items I need to go back and select a different box. I go back and the red shirts are starting to tag these boxes, they had just missed that bunch. What is with this lady, I just do not get her, what I am doing wrong?

Your insights would be much appreciated, I just want to do my bargain shopping in peace.

If you aren't using a ton of Qs, or ETQs, or questionable Qs, then I would send off an email to corporate to let them know what is going on. Don't know that they'd do anything about it, but who knows!

I experience a similar treatment at one of my Targets. I think they posted my picture in the breakroom with a saying "what out for this lady & her coupons." In the beginning, I used to go every morning before work, but now, I only go if I have to get certain clearanced/sale items (why buy full retail?). Everytime I check out, the cashier would signal for a LOD to come over and looks at anything that I gave them. Knowing this, everything has been legit, but still, they won't let go. Even with a legit coupon, they read every single lines of the fine prints to deny it. I just like to make them work harder by giving them a gazillion of coupons when I know they can't deny it (just my little revenge.)

For example, when the lysol spray was clearanced at $2 (org. $4) and I used a $2 MQ, they tried to deny it by saying it's not the same item as pictured. The MQ says, "any size 12 oz or larger", and the Lysol was 12 oz & had a free travel size attached to it (isn't that 12 oz or larger?). There was another shopper that had picked out the same item & had the same MQ, but I didn't have time to wait to see how they would treat her coupon.

Another time, the LOD tried to tell me "limit one coupon per purchase" means "per transaction." Confused I bluntly ask her, "which dictionary did you pull that from?" (or should I have said "which end?) I stood my ground and tried not to raise my voice. I even asked if the store has rules written out clearly somewhere, or if she was making up her own rules? In the end, I said, "Ring them up separately if you want to waste my time and yours..."

Lately, I have been very tempted to call or write corporate about this unfair treatment and use "harassment" as my argument. Enough is enough!!! In general, I buy more when I am in there with my coupons, but I guess, my money is not needed for this store.

What is the best approach? I think it's depending on if the person responding to each complaint is customer friendly or not. Targets don't really follow the rule "customers are always right." In this case, they make it looks like they could careless if I ever come back.

I would actually understand if I was using coupons a lot, but I maybe use 1or 2 at any given transaction, and now I want to start using more, but with this lady hanging over me, I can just see problems. I thought about contacting HQ, but I think I might sound nutslaugh out loud Is it ever helpful to talk to the store manager in these situations??

I don't know if the manager would be helpful... I tend to try to avoid them more than I try to seek them out. Ninja But really, it would depend on the manager. S/he might be a "coupon nazi" who has instructed the leads to act this way... Who knows?

My first tactic would be to try to shop at a completely different time than you normally do. She can't work there 24/7, right? Wink Try to get a better feel of when other leads might be on duty.

Next, try a few small-ish runs with completely legit Qs. Lots of string cheese and fake meat and Campbell's soup. You get the idea. Hopefully, after a few "false alarms" like these, she'd get the hint and stop wasting everyone's time.

If all else fails, you might have to start branching out wrt the Target stores you go to. I know some are much more blessed in this area than others, but hopefully you have at least a couple others in somewhat close range.

thanks for the advice, I wont seek out the manager, it is really hard for me to go times other than early afternoon because of kids naps, and in the evening I dont need my dh see me bring in bags of target stuff, he just does not understandStick Out Tongue He thinks the toiletry fairy drops all those items from the sky to our cabinents. I do have quite a few Targets to chose from, about 5 within 10 miles, so I may expand my horizons, but this one is sooo close and relatively new. Bah!

On a good note a CVS is coming in right across the way, so I can start EBCin' over there, Yea!
