I just went to check out how much they're generally going for, and it cracked me up to see people who are selling the 5/25 toy coupons, and the one who scanned in a 5/75 with the barcode perfectly usable. I wonder how many people have copied that picture, printed it out, and used it. It'd serve that seller right. LMAO Every time I do a search for Target coupons, I feel so badly for people who haven't discovered SD. Not that I want them to, necessarily Evil, but still. Stick Out Tongue
lol has to be someone who knows about scans to bid $6 for a coupon worth $5 LMAO Still I'm annoyed last I looked that was the on;y $5/$25 on ebay and I haven't seen anyone around here with it if some one has it I'll last you forever hug Otherwise I'll keep bidding lol Is this new $5/$25 plastic and reusable or something?

So sorry, mine did this when they turned 3. I just ignore it, literally, I speak softer and ignore it. If the kid is in the cart, I move to the end of the cart and pull it, if they where on the floor I would stare at the shelf and pretend to not look, watching from the side of my eye of course. after a few times of being ignored they stopped. Remind yourself it is a phase, sometimes chanting "I LOVE MY KID, I LOVE MY KID" helpsBig Grin Fellow shoppers seem to get a kick out of the chanting anyway, LOL.

For me, one important thing was always to be firm and no empty threats! By this, I mean, if I say, "If you do X again, then you're not getting/doing Y," that's *exactly* what happens. No second chances. shake head Also, I have left the store before. If he can't behave in public, then he won't go out in public. Wink Obviously, that can be as big or bigger pain for you (since you don't get any shopping done that way), but for me, after only a couple times doing that, I've never had to again.

One reason I love my local grocery store (Giant in PA) is that they recently installed "Treehouses" in most of their stores where parents can drop of their kids (I believe ages 3-9?) while they shop. You get a safety ID band (as does the child(ren)) and a walkie-talkie and up to 90-minutes of tantrum-free shopping. And they've got *everything* in there --- computers, blocks, art supplies, etc. When it first opened this past summer, I had DS asking me if we could go to Giant. Big Grin I even told the store that I would purposefully shop there more often now that I knew of this service (and I have -- another reason to avoid WallyWorld like the plague! Wink)

I do the same, except since I now have two, I change mine to "I love my kids...really I do." laugh out loud

Comfort Make time to go by yourself. Seriously. I almost always go Saturday afternoon right after work--before picking up the little bugger! But there are ocassions when she does have to go with me so during those times I try to engage her in the shopping experience laugh out loud (can't start 'em too young--right?) by having her hold things for me before they go into the cart, when she is bored with that item, she gets something else to hold and examine (she is 18mo). Good luck to you.

I know some women feel that way, but I wasn't one of them! I HATED being pregnant - and I just want the baby again, not the pregnancy. LMAO I'm willing to brave the pregnancy part just to get the baby.
Was it this bad for anyone else? It seems all the women I talk to always speak fondly of when they were pregnant - they never had a day of sickness, they felt good most of the time, etc. Makes me jealous!. LMAO
I hated being pregnant too, was miserable almost everyday. But, I had twinshug, so I DON'T have to go through another miserable pregnancy to get another baby. I'm happy and busy enough with the two I have.nod

This is so cool....if I find time, I'll have to give it a try. That would be a cool to make a changing pad out of. You could wipe it down so easy!! Baby Shower idea! Since free diapers seem to be a thing of the past.

"Making a messenger bag out of plastic bags. Oh yeah!" LMAO

I SO want to do this with all Target bags! Bigeye I'm wondering though, if you're ironing over wax paper to protect your iron from the plastic, what's protecting your iron from the wax you're melting on the wax paper? Or does that not happen?
ETA: Sorry for the double post
Ohh, if only I had a sewing machine (and happened to know how to use it Stick Out Tongue). This might be worth picking up a cheapy machine atTarget, along with a cheap iron, and some parchment paper to try out. Oh, and learning how to sew. This kind of craft project is right.
Whee...the wax paper only has wax on one side. So, just be sure the waxy sides are in when you iron. You should be able to scratch with your nail to see what side is waxy. HTHSmilie

LOL, I can't rep you anymore (need to spread the love) but I SO will for that comment!

That made me LMAO

I haven't had problems with tantrums yet (I know, there will come a time, lol!) but I do know how uncomfortable it is to have a kid with you while in store (taking care of other people's kids) and have them throw a tantrum. What a great way to break the uncomfortable tension of people staring. Genius! Will rep ya on the flip side. Wink

I just skimmed throught the last few pages and my new mommy advice is, don't read the book Belly Laughs. Actually, it is a really funny book, but I could have lived with out knowing that sometimes women poop while giving birth. I read it before my last baby, and I was scared "$hitless" during my whole labor that I would poop everywhere. lol. I didn't, but it was stressful!

Pooh... I tried checking the giant webpage to see if I could link to what they look like or which ones have them... but I can't find anything about them on the site! Embarrassment

Maybe if you asked if/when your store might get one, they could speed it up a little bit? laugh out loud

I learned something new today! I didn't know that about wax paper. I always thought both sides were coated.

I read about someone just fusing the edges of their project together with more passes of the iron. Since I don't know how to sew, I'm thinking I might make myself a simple coupon envelope made out of Target bags. Big Grin

When I was researching the whole giving birth process, I came across a website with a forum of "what you wish you'd known before giving birth". The poop thing came up A LOT, along with a lot of other crazy stuff like prolapsed uteruses, and hemorrhoids, and how much breast feeding hurts. Scared the hell out of me. I could have sworn I bookmarked it, but I guess I was too freaked out to want to go back and read it again, and now it's gone. It was a good read, but pretty terrifying for someone who was going to be a first time mommy.

If I'm not too tired, I think I might give it a shot tonight. I have all the "supplies" here, and I can't imagine it taking very long. If I do, I'll see if I can post some pictures.
