I just skimmed throught the last few pages and my new mommy advice is, don't read the book Belly Laughs. Actually, it is a really funny book, but I could have lived with out knowing that sometimes women poop while giving birth. I read it before my last baby, and I was scared "$hitless" during my whole labor that I would poop everywhere. lol. I didn't, but it was stressful!
LMAO

I remember reading that when I was pregnant in "A Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" - what your doctors won't tell you.

It freaked me out a little too. I didn't when I was in labor either, but the thought did cross my mind a couple of times. Smilie

Actually, my midwives told me that your body knows when it's about to go into labor, and most times your body will want to go not long before you go into labor, so it doesn't really happen that often that a woman will have an "accident" when she's giving birth. laugh out loud

I could have lived my whole life without that info, since I have Bad IBS, that is stress induced, I made sure my system was cleared out before checking in for my induced laborBig Grin

If I'm not too tired, I think I might give it a shot tonight. I have all the "supplies" here, and I can't imagine it taking very long. If I do, I'll see if I can post some pictures.
Ok, this is only Target related because of the kind of bags I used to do it, but I made myself a pouch... of sorts. LMAO It's uh... not so pretty, and really simple. Literally just a pouch, no velcro or snaps, or pockets... it's pretty much just like the bottom of a small plastic bag, but made out of plastic bags. Doh It is, however, pretty sturdy feeling, so I think I'm going to experiment with making other kinds of things, maybe bigger. Now that I know it can actually be done, I'll actually drag out the regular sized ironing board instead of ironing on top of a Nike box.

For anyone interested, instead of using wax paper, I used a manila folder, split down the side and at the bottom, and used the seam in the middle as my guide to know where best to iron. I'm sure wax paper is easier, since you can see through it, but I'm too dumb and couldn't figure out which side was the waxy one and which side wasn't. Both put a little residue under my nail when scratched, so I didn't want to risk ruining the iron or the small board I started off using. I'm too embarrassed to post this abomination I just made, so maybe if something else cuter comes out of it, there'll be a Target plastic bag project photo. EEK!

I can't figure out what I'm going to make next. Or rather, the design of what I'm going to make next. I do know that I want to make something else tonight. The first "pouch" was too much fun, and it feels crazy! Super thick, pliable plastic, but strong enough that I can't warp or stretch it. It's so weird. I'm fascinated.

When I was researching the whole giving birth process, I came across a website with a forum of "what you wish you'd known before giving birth". The poop thing came up A LOT, along with a lot of other crazy stuff like prolapsed uteruses, and hemorrhoids, and how much breast feeding hurts. Scared the hell out of me. I could have sworn I bookmarked it, but I guess I was too freaked out to want to go back and read it again, and now it's gone. It was a good read, but pretty terrifying for someone who was going to be a first time mommy.
Yeah, but once you hold that beautiful newborn child, your heart just melts and none of the icky stuff matters anymore.

I had mine at home, so we had complete privacy and we cherished all the icky stuff along with the wonderful stuff. The pregnancies and births are just lovely memories now.

I'm thinking of trying to make an organizer with different sections built in so that I can label them with those adhesive hanging folder tabs. Right now, I'm not quite sure how to do that, but I'm gonna spin my wheels and maybe cut out a paper prototype (lol) with all my scraps laying around here.

I was returning some items from an online order the other day and noticed that the cashiers were asking for licenses/IDs and scanning them before processing returns. I've never had this happen before. Did Target just start doing this? What is the purpose?
