I should have taken shots of the side of it so you could see the depth...DD "couldn't find" her lunch box today and begged to use the Target bag. When I said yes, she skipped down the hallways squealing cool (she is 13 mind you!) LMAO She keeps me entertained!

Rofl, if that's not a testament to the coolness of that bag, I don't know what is. The HIGHEST coolness-compliment you can get on anything you own is if a teenager wants to steal it and bring it to school!

I have already thought of some modifications to my next one. I wish I had my mom's serger sewing machine and those would be so easy to crank out!

Oh and next time I won't be so lazy as to not load a bobbin with red thread. I used red on top white on the bottom. I need to stitch the side seams down somehow to make it "box-ier". No matter how many times or how hard I rubbed my finger on the inside pressing that seam out it woudl not retain its shape. DH told me to iron the seams on the outside, like how *whee* made her envelope. I am not sure if I will get that back from DD now. So on to the next one with longer handles (I can't possibly stitch a bullseye to anchor the handles, but I can make him LMAO )

i must agree, thrifty - your target bag is very cool, totally something i'd buy! lol

the new file maintenance person came in to work today (my replacement). she is a rehire, who had left the company 9 months ago. but at least i don't have to train her before my last day (the 27th) because she's already done this job before. she asked why i'm leaving, so i told her what happened... basically long story short i was down sick with the flu and bronchitis for 3 weeks in february. i came in to work anyway because i do not have a backup (supposed to have another person 16 hours to do this job, but do not). naturally there were days i was so sick i couldn't get out of bed, so had to call in sick on 3 days. i fell severely behind and couldn't catch up on that 24 hours worth of work. i was written up by corporate for falling so far behind. i didn't get any sick pay because i haven't quite been there 5 years, so my checks were shorted. AND later (last tuesday) i was also written up and put on final termination warning for accumulating so many 'points' due to calling in sick on those same 3 days. sounds like a bit of double-dipping eh?? so i'm moving on. it has nothing to do with me hating my job, i like what i do and everyone i work with but i'm just tired of all the corporate crap that comes with it.

my alternative is to stay. in that case, if i am late to work or call in sick even once in the next 9 months (regardless of reason or doctor's note) i'll be terminated. for my employment record, termination looks much worse than me just leaving on my own terms. so i'm taking the latter route. nod

and the "new" lady said oh boy.. i remember that crap happening to other people, why did i come back? EEK!
she really seems nice, i like her. i just hope she survives that store. i was one of the best fmc's and even favorited by several store managers and still didn't make it. shake head

but on a happier brighter note.. i just feel like so much stress has been removed from my life that i actually physically feel better and more confident of myself. i'm turning in app's left and right to find a new job. i also found out today that the very same day i gave them my 2week notice - i had a mystery shopper and actually scored my first 100% the entire time i've been at that location. figures. laugh out loud
(i usually miss the point "voluntarily ask if customer needs assistance" because my eyesight is buried in price labels and price auditing, so most of the time i don't even realize they are there to ask. Stick Out Tongue)

anyhow.. to keep target related Cool

i'm looking for a deal on trashbags, dh didn't wait for me to get some q's on them and bought like the cheapest ones on the shelf. you should have heard him cursing at the bag when he went to empty the trash a few minutes ago because it ripped and refused to come out of the can. i said - i told you not to get any until i had a q.LMAO
so yeah, the mission for garbage bags continue...

i'm also wondering with new targets, do they have clearance stuff also, or is that going to take a while (as in months or something) to start closing things out?

Yeah someone else a couple pages back was ranting about the same thing. That's why I keep my deals to myself.

A couple people, actually.... and within the last couple days! laugh out loud The only people who know about my SDing are my family members, and they just kind of smile and nod and let me do my thing. Most of the time I embarrass the heck out of them with the deals I get, and they know they don't have the balls to do it themselves, so they don't ask me to teach them. Plus, they know that I give them buttloads of stuff so they don't really need to.

Just tell your friend that you understand that it takes a long time, and it takes you a long time too, so you don't have time to do your own, AND theirs and still have time to eat, sleep, and poop. If they want to clip and print and match up q's on their own, then, and only then, invite them shopping with you. laugh out loud

That's good advice - I was having the same problem. (Still haven't it resolved it yet, but she never calls or returns my emails, so I'm hoping it won't be a huge deal. laugh out loud)

People have NO clue how difficult it is - and when they want to start, they feel overwhelmed.

See if you can coax her into doing it on her own with the "I know how hard it is when you first start out - it gets easier." etc.

Once you can get her to make her own binder, and be more organized, THEN you can go shopping with her. DO NOT GO SHOPPING WITH HER until she has her own coupons! She'll mooch off you like crazy - I know from experience, lol.

None of my friends are interested thankfully. There is one friend who runs a shelter up in another state and it there's a good freebie out there (flat earth, live active, dove) I send it to her. But I still wouldn't tell her about SD. I told my brother about it a few months ago and lets just say he went a little overboard on the JJ. Thankfully he has no clue about the target forum, he only scans hot deals every so often.

Got a new job out of town and no laptop....this site is banned from access at the new job :o( so..........I'm home one day before I have to go back. I have 8 weeks of coupons to clip and I hate to think of what I've missed.

What's the deal with the expireds?? anyone know if San Leandro Target (area) is coupon friendly?

Hi *whee* Smilie Still here and just trudging along. My freezer is completely jammed with Morningstar, so yes...I am still Targeting laugh out loud I do love those corn-dogs....mmmmm.. laugh out loud

As far as sharing or teaching others the 'deals', I have given up. When they look in my closets, freezers, pantries, etc and ask how I do it, I just reply "sales" and let it go. The ones who actually want to learn how will find a way to do it just like most of us did-on our own.

ALMOSTFREE4ME: the expired thing has been happening for a while now. The first 20 pages or so of the new Target deals thread go over it. Basically, our good old expireds are embarrassing us at the registers by coming up EXPIRED on the screen, so it doesn't matter how coupon friendly the store is because K1ing is not the issue Frown There have also been some limiting issues in some stores regarding how many of each coupon you can use no matter that you have enough items to match each coupon.....Frown

is it any wonder I hang out at Victorias' Secret so much now?!?!? less drama!!! LMAO

Okay, here's something I want an opinion on...

The Kandoo wipes are technically for toddler-aged children since they're flushable. Same with the Huggies Clean Team. But since they're free, would you use 'em on your infants? Or give them to relatives with infants? I've got 20 tubs of Kandoo and a few HCT that I was planning on giving to a cousin who just had a baby and is in need.

TIA. Smilie

that bag looks like really nice!!!!! now i want one. I don't know how to sew so I am going to have to get my sister to do it for me. She is really into recycling so I am sure she'll like the idea of trying something new with those plastic bags. One question did you use the regular size bags or the big ones ??

Regular, but regular T bags are bigger than regular grocery bags. I was thinking of trying out a CVS one next. But with deadlines for work and my sister's wedding next week, I am booked solid!

BTW, the Target bag has now become her regular lunchbag. She had her cute little Susan G Komen Lean Cuisine pink one on the counter...but grabbed the bag with the bullseye!!
