I had a great run yesterday at WM. I was too chicken to use the SCO.
My cashier freaked on the IP $5 q, but the mgr was cool. He said if it scans.. take it!
I used $25+ in q's, no problems. I could sense the cashier's reluctance to my q's, which sucked.. Why don't they just scan and move on? I'm sick and tired of seeing unpleasantries on their faces. If the q doesn't scan, just hand it back.. no problem.

i've got a question for those of you who buy the full inserts. would you pay extra to have the entire insert clipped for you so they'd be ready to go when you got them? and if so how much extra per insert?
I didn't know you could buy full inserts!! But no, I wouldn't pay extra - people who "clip" them do a POOR job. Like ladybugs, I love her, and she ships fast, but all the coupons come with like half a page of extra stuff, lol. I have to take the time to clip around the edges to make sure they fit in my binder. So because I have to "re-clip" all the coupons I buy after I get them, there's no way in hell I'd pay more for that, lol.

Could you tell me where I can buy the full inserts?! I'd SO love to do that. Will rep you! Smilie

When I get up to the register, after making small talk, what I usually do is tell them I have a bunch of q's, and then I sort of mumble to myself, but loud enough for them to hear, that I need to go through it and take out anything that I didn't buy, or that they didn't have that day. Sooo, as they're scanning away, I pull out my pile and sort through, and then I'll loudly go, "Oh, I didn't buy this.... or this.... and you guys were out of this one, so let me get that out of there," and then I set it aside to show them that they don't have anything to worry about, and to actually make sure all the q's I have are for what I'm buying. Usually, by the time they're done scanning the merchandise, I'm part of the way through the pile, so I'll hand them what I've sorted through, and go,"Ok, those I've looked through..." and then I go through the rest. It's useful both in saving myself the embarrassment of the "did you buy this?" conversation, and in making sure they understand that I'm trustworthy and not trying to pull a fast one by throwing in q's for items I'm not buying. Plus, it keeps me from not having anything to do with my hands, if I start off a little flustered to begin with.
I do something similar!

What I typically do is have hubby load everything onto the conveyor belt, while I stand so I can see the computer screen as the cashier is ringing up everything, and at the same time, I go through all my Qs to make sure I have all the items. I ALWAYS have a couple of Qs that I didn't use or I couldn't find, or were out of stock, so I "talk to myself" too and sort through them. Then by the time the cashier is done, I've sorted through all them. It has COMPLETELY eliminated the "did you buy this?" questions. Smilie

It's a very handy trick - plus it gives you something to do, so you're not standing there looking funny, lol. Big Grin

And on a side note, hubby is REALLY coming around to Target shopping, lol. (Especially with all the spicy bean dip he gets - and the nice overages for his video games that come with it LMAO) He collects and sells action figures, so he really likes that he's able to get more, plus use the toy coupon. (For all you ladies that have trouble with your hubbies, just start feeding into what he likes to buy - it won't take long, and then pretty soon you'll be driving somewhere together and he'll say "hey, you wanna stop at Target?" It's awesome. laugh out loud)

OK, hate to do it, but I've gotta ask sumpthin about the OTHER store (WM).... I've gotta head over there to see if they carry ripstik wheels for DS, and thought I'd hit the SCO with some dove Qs ... never done it before, tho. How many Qs will it let u use before it starts yelling for help?

Perty please?
Quote from Pretzels :
If you are talking about the $3.50 dove coupons for the ALL - I would say use no more than 2-3 per transaction. I always use two and then do another transaction right after the first one with a couple more. Make sure when you scan ANY coupon at SCO to cover the right bar code. If the system recognizes the right bar code, it will require an approval after the transaction is finished.
Don't forget the durex q. Walmart sells the Durex trial "pleasure pack" for $1.78--giving 12 cents overage with the Durex q.

Oh, and the Downy bottles are on sale for $5. Which works with certain q's making it free.... You either know what I mean or you don't, I won't explain it further....

Thanks for the CVS coupons, Cover Girl seems coded to work on most anything CG. On a related note, RiteAid has a q. for $3 off KY Brand....but a weird (to me anyway) type of barcode that I wonder if will scan at Target. It DOES say Manufacturer's Coupon on top. Does anyone know the answer or if they have the RA flier and can look at it, know how to decode it? Hope this made sense!

Don't have Rite Aid here. If the coupon starts with a small 5 you should be able to clip it out of the paper and use it anywhere. Don't photocopy it though..that's a no-no shake head ...but I'm sure you're aware of that. nod

What I usually do is write down the page number I left off at and then just start there when I have time to log on again. Takes me 10 min to catch up and at least I'm not asking the same thing over and over and over again.
Sorry for the repeated answer.

i haven't shopped at wal-mart in forever (hate that store!) but need to go for some clean team items. i thought i had read somewhere wal-mart limits q usage to a certain number of coupons or dollar value.. or something. anyone know what that is for sure? (don't want to cause unnecessary attention from freaked out registers Stick Out Tongue)

I didnt notice anything unusual. I didn't buy more than 4 of the same item and used over $25 in q's. They beeped like crazy, but went well. One of my q's was an IP for $5. The only thing I've heard is to fold the q and scan the left barcode. That is, if you are using SCO. HTH
