Well I believe if you use under $20 in q's it does not require manager approval....I used the self check out and it asked for approval after one q!!!

also there are other great overages to be had at wm!!!

The handivac is also 2.50 cheaper...so it's a profit after the rebate.

i'm not a big fan of wm anymore but it does serve it's purpose. I also find the cashier's are more apathetic.

i haven't shopped at wal-mart in forever (hate that store!) but need to go for some clean team items. i thought i had read somewhere wal-mart limits q usage to a certain number of coupons or dollar value.. or something. anyone know what that is for sure? (don't want to cause unnecessary attention from freaked out registers Stick Out Tongue)
I think as long as your savings is UNDER $40 regardless of how many Q's you use or how much OOP you will be okay. I've saved more than $40 two times and had to have a manager okay it. It's a pain and takes FOREVER!!!!

My dollar spot has duracell two packs for $1.00 (which are not clearanced like the rayovac so maybe they are new). I used the .75 mfq for 4 packs and it did NOT beep.
I saw this in hot deals a couple of weeks ago and have been scanning my stores but nada here. I'll keep looking but thanks for reminding me. Duracell is my hubby's favorite, energizer second.

It asked for approval after one coupon because it recognized the right bar code on the coupon first. I had this happen and a very knowledgable supervisor explained it to me. Just cover it up and go for it. I used ten coupons last time I went for $20 something in savings.

Sometimes it seems as though it's "who you are" whether or not your question gets answered. I don't post alot, since I don't get to Target much anymore, but I do appreciate everyone who does post. I've gotten some great deals, and if I do find something, postabout it. I do read all the posts, and sometimes that's A LOT! I understand the frustration when someone comes to the board and says, "What is the diaper deal? I need diapers." Many times the question isn't answered or a sarcastic reply is given. I've seen Jimmywalt ask a similar question though, and everyone jumps to give an answer. Now I know that he posts a lot, but sometimes I think the same courtesy could be given to others.
Even though I've been on this board for a long time, I still don't feel as though I "belong." Over a year with another screenname (didn't know I could just transfer things so I made a new account), and since Nov. with this one. The whole rep thing also has me baffled. Some people have hundreds while other people who post often have very few. I never really understood why we needed reps anyway. Soap Box
On a deals related note, I set up a mini store today during Easter lunch for my family with all the stuff I got for free or nearly nothing at Target & CVS and had them all "shop." They thought it was awesome, and I got rid of a bunch of stuff! Hope everyone had a great Easter. I'm off for the week, so maybe I can get some Target shopping in! Smilie
You made a great point, but let me try to explain.......

While I can't speak for everyone here, I can speak for myself. Sometimes when I post deals I get 20 PM's asking about all the details. Now that's fine to do, but some of us (including me) don't know who we are talking to in internet-land. So when I see a PM from a person who just joined SD in the past month, and who hasn't posted hardly at all (the # of posts under your avatar), I wonder who this person is, and are they the Red Shirts trying to give me a hard time (or worse)?

Recently I posted on the board about getting some Bounty paper towels and you would have thought I was telling people how to get a free Lexus from all the PM's I received. So no, I didn't reply to 99% of them (I just don't have the time, and I don't know who the people are). I'm confortable with PM'ing with people that 1) I've talked with and have a trusting relationship with, or 2) I've seen post A LOT in this Target thread. See, that way it's pretty safe for me to assume that you aren't out to give me trouble.

Agreed-a lot of new people aren't reading posts, and just asking for the deals. People need to read more and if they don't have time, this board is not for them. Reading is how you get the deals! It does take a lot of time but that's why we all have nice stashes, because we put the time into it. The wiki has everything outlined and it's never looked better.
I work 50+ hours a week and have a little one. What I usually do is write down the page number I left off at and then just start there when I have time to log on again. Takes me 10 min to catch up and at least I'm not asking the same thing over and over and over again.
I may try the softsoap today, I'll be bummed if I missed out on the GC deal just because I wasn't at the right store. It happens. I wouldn't mind an easter bob the builder pack at 50% off either.
I agree. nod

Quote from MamaRo :
Don't know if you knew this or not but you DON't have to write down the last page you were on. If you go to the Deals forum and see the Target thread. Right next to it on the left if you see an icon that looks like a sheet of paper with lines and click on it it will bring you to the last post you didn't read. Saves TONS of time. hug
This never works for me. hmmm.
Quote from Frazzlemom :
There's also the "View first unread" you can click to go to the first post you haven't seen. It's in the bar above the first post on the page after you open the thread - the same bar as the search button, but on the opposite side. HTH
This doesn't work for me either. it just takes me to the very last post.
I HATE THAT.

Yay!!! I am so happy you are finding some good stores lately. I know you have to drive a bit, but at least you can still find some stores to take those nice q's!!!!!
Thanks
It was nice to finally have a decent one.

whoppie... had a good ST run on cooper... found the pizza rolls for $0.63-- got 3 as i only had 3 q's... was able to use all 3 pizza roll mfg q's in same transaction...
however did not try using more than one of any TQ or ETQ
had a great jedi cashier laugh out loud
the bounty hang tags (that were found about a week and a half ago on dawn products) showed up on my reciept as a mfg q... errr.. idk i tried to use a bounty q from P&G.. but it beep and was k1ed
also im not sure what version or where exactly i got it.. but the silk $2 off w/ no experation scanned in the bed scanner... i was shocked as i was just about tell him to type it in...
over all a very good run
That's what I said you had to do. I have been a few times with decent runs as long as I don't have multiple TARGET or ETQs. I can nod several MFQs. I have posted this a few times & also posted that it seems like in DFW only that store is doing this. I have now hit about 10 stores in the DFW area & no changes.

I guess I will go back there tomorrow since I don't have any ETQs to use.
Easter dresses at Cooper were 50% on Sat so by now they are probably all gone. Frown

I think it takes you directly to the last post IF you have posted last. For example, once I post this, if I were to go to the top and hit "view first unread" it will take me to my last post (this one). I guess it assumes you read all the posts before what you posted.

Basically it works if you were to just get on SD, THEN hit "view first unread."

Confused? laugh out loud

Just remember everybody, I don't think that it's the store that's the problem, it's the cashiers. I always go to a certain cashier who I think is worried that I'm trolling him!laugh out loud Reality is, he doesn't even look at the coupon unless it beeps, and when it does, he just K1's. Honestly, I went through a different cashier once. She scrutinized every coupon I had. Now I just go back to him...even if he does get a nervous look(EEK! ) on his face everytime I'm comin' through!Whip

wave Welcome to the thread. There is a great deal of information here and the thread moves quickly. There are so many deals going on, I think it's easy to lose sight of some of them. I agree with you about the assumptions that people don't read...when I first came over here it was like reading a different language. nod I appreciate the people that are willing to help. heart It does take a long time to absorb it all.

Don't be afraid to ask shake head ...there are regulars here that ask over&over again...if they had read a few pages back they would find the answer.

Good to see you over here..it's a totally different game than the one from from the dark side.Wink If I can be of any help shoot me a PM. hug heart

Here are some hints for the newbies (and anyone else who wants them). These are things the I do:
1. When you read the thread and find a coupon attached (or a link to one) immediately save it (or the link) to your hard drive. Then you shouldn't have a problem finding it later.
2. If you find a good deal in a post, write down the post number and page number (it will make it a lot easier to find it again later if you want). Also write down on paper all the details of that deal.
3. Try to pay attention to who the people are that are posting most of the deals, they often are the ones that are happy to answer additional questions about deals.
4. Most important rule ----- catch up on this thread EVERY DAY (even when your spouse is in bed at 9:46 PM and you still have 14 pages of "Target" to catch up on). If you don't tomorrow when you wake up you will find yourself in a deeper hole (with up to 25 pages of stuff to read).

I agree. I, too, am careful about who I say things to or send copies of coupons to. I don't get a lot of PMs, but I can understand how that would be very time consuming. In the past, we would just post the info right on the board, but with some questionable coupons/deals many people decided to take it to PMs. That opens the door for lots of PMs to certain people who do post a lot.
I changed my screenname because I didn't want certain people in my area that work at Target to know which coupons I was using or which deals I was getting. I just felt it was better to have that anonymity. I'm not even sure they read these boards, but there have been too many things that happened to think it's just coincidence.
I too, find it frustrating when someone comes on with a new account and asks about a certain deal that has just been talked about in the last few pages. If it's been awhile since it's been talked about, I give them the benefit of the doubt. There are times when I skim the posts because it doesn't pertain to me, then later wish I had paid better attention. ie the diaper deals before Christmas. I have no need for diapers, but we decided that all the teachers at school would buy diapers for a Mother's of Unborn Babies Shelter. Had I paid attention I could have gotten a TON of nearly free diapers. It was too difficult to go through to read all the posts about diapers, but I didn't feel comfortable asking about the diaper deal. I just got a decent deal on 2 packs using a few coupons I found. Sometimes I just think people feel intimidated to post things here because it's such a close knit group of people.
When you figure out how to get that free Lexus, will you PM me the details?? I just kicked another piece of my vrusty van off when I kicked off a snow chunk!

It is YMMV on how many coupons you can use at SCO without approval. The WM here is set up to need approval after 5 coupons. On the 6th q, it beeps and says "you have reached your limit" (or something similar).

As far as the dollar amount goes, I'm not sure if there is one here, but with only being allowed to use 5 q's without approval, it's hard to tell. I used 2 $10 q's and a 3 others one time, and they all went through.

Also, if the coupon is more than the amount of the item, it beeps here too. I bought 5 of the trial size degree deod's. the other day, and they all beeped and had to be manually entered.
